I think I might be interested. When you have a clearer picture of exactly what you have in mind, I'll say for sure, but I'm guessing I'll be happy to participate.
i'm definitely interested! i've set aside March as my WRITE ALL THE WORDS month, and pocky_slash and i have set up a comm for it: march_for_words
i'm... not entirely sure how to go about running it - it's not going to be like NaNo that focuses solely on wordcount, but more like making sure we all make *some* time every day for writing, whether it's a 15 minute "sprint" or a good hour of steady pace
but would love you to join, and throw some ideas at us! and let me know if you set up a writers group :)
Possibly, but it would depend on the focus of the writing group. I've discussed this with a number of other authors, amateur and professional, and general experience seems to be that some writing groups are aimed more at polishing one's work as if for publication (regardless of intended market or whether the author doesn't feel like marketing Any Time Soon), while others become the be-all and end-all for the participants. I wouldn't be interested in a group where the group itself is the ultimate audience, but the other kind, yes, I probably would.
I think that sort group style develops organically, based on the needs and interests of the participants. I'm not particularly interested in keeping the group inward focused but it will more likely depend on what the group as a whole ends up wanting to do.

Well, maybe we can share ideas and audience, and the differences will mean folks have options for what fits best.
Here's more info on what I'm thinking:
