I got Basil the second hand cat last Sunday. I figured it would be nice to have a furry friend again, now that the drywall dust has settled. I have missed having a lap buddy. Uilliam's sister moved to an apartment last summer and Basil was going crazy without a yard, we met and it seemed like a good match ( Read more... )

its a relationship like anyother, there has to be a bond with the other party
so it may not be "not ready for a pet" as much as not basil

Yeah... I don't think it's because you're not ready. It sounds to me like you entered into the deal with an open heart which is all it takes. You just ended up with an aweful cat. Dump it. I live with a cat that pees on everything all the time. He's peed on the couch foru times this week ALONE. If Chris wasn't his champion... well... moving on.

Ditch it, then get yourself a nice little female cat. I'll come with you to the shelter if you want some company. I work in Burnaby, we could go after work. There is a cat out there who needs you, you just need to find it.

when I was thinking of the right pet I was thinking could you imagine if I had Lucy and Deand and Sally had Ruby? eek!
The pet has to be the right fit thats for sure

If we had Ruby from a puppy we'd be just fine with her.There would just be a hell of a lot more walks.
