I like this a lot. I've been thinking about my own memoir this way: that it's the little moments throughout my life standing at windows or such looking out at the world and just being inside myself that I most want to document and remember -- who I WAS at all those different points in my life, the differences and samenesses -- rather than the things that I did or that happened to me, which seems to be what everyone else wants from my memoir.

your words meant a lot. in case you did not read the comment above...i have been off lj since -seemingly -2008...(going by the archive and posts..altho i did hide many posts too) still i checked -and they also ended in 2008. i find i miss lj in some ways...and may peek around at some point. i will certainly visit your page as well as viyufuzz. the first post..i was good friends with her on here...but i left..and when i returned sometime in ..oh..perhaps 4 months or so back..and found she has not been here..or is gone.or..i forget. at the time..i need to move on. and it was and is still an experience..on 2 sites i am on-1 in particular-but revisiting the other now just as i am doing here. regardless of all that..i appreciate you taking the time and will be stopping by your..page..wall..forget...but..will comment when i do visit. likely tonight..or soon. thank you.
