[OPEN LOG] Halloween

Halloween night sees the Academy grounds lit up with lights from hundreds of flickering jack-o-lanterns as they illuminate the paths through the gardens and maze. Inside the school, the largest (above ground) sports hall and games room have been decorated still further with streamers and multicoloured lights. In the latter location, a band stand

Echizen had considered not going to the party at all. Then, he remembered that there would be free food. When he entered (with his tennis bag on his back, so he could claim it as a costume to anyone curious), he made a beeline for the food and drink table.

There were some creepy looking glasses, but among them, stood the heavenly, purple, fizzing beverage that was grape ponta.

Or at least...he thought so until he took a sip.

Glancing over from his conversation with Inui, Fuji saw Echizen lift the small glass. It was hard to be sure at this distance, but since the known gannet had been at the table for at least 30 seconds and there was still visible food, it appeared that he may have picked up one of the better drinks.

Walking up behind the younger student, Fuji examined him closely. He was a very good size. "How are you feeling, Echizen?" he asked, one hand placed held out slightly should Echizen fall backwards. He could use an assistant.

"Like...." Echizen stared at the ponta. It was blasphemy. It was betrayal. "Bad....just....bad..."

Echizen turned to look at Fuji. He stared the Grim Reaper up and down. "Seems appropriate," he said.

Hmm. Still talking and snarky. Apparently even Inui's best juice could not silence Echizen Ryoma that quickly. Fuji was impressed but steps would have to be taken; he was looking for a less conscious assistant.

Reaching back towards the table, he selected a cheerful pumpkin coloured muffin with a spider sprawled across it. "Try this to take the taste away," he said with his usual smile.

The ponta was not one of Inui's creations, but rather, it was spiked with vodka. Echizen had been considering taking another sip when Fuji provided a more favorable treat.

It was a muffin with chocolate. How was he supposed to resist?

"Thanks, senpai," there was almost a smile on his face as he took the muffin. Before Fuji could change his mind about the free food, Echizen took a great big bite.

The cupcake might have been bright orange...but Ryoma's face soon turned green and he swayed on his feet.

Fuji caught Echizen as he fell, lifting him up cradle style, muffin and all. Swiftly, he exited the room and wove back to the maze, placing the unconscious boy at the end of a dead-end junction just a few turns down from his favourite haunting position.

Perfect. Biting into the remainder of the muffin (it would be a pity to waste it), Fuji walked back along the grassy path Now he just needed his next victim.
