Yay! I got my first C&D letter today~~

Except it isn't even the least bit polite in any way, doesn't begin with even a simple "Hey". Fine if you think we're being rude by scanlating stuffs, but you could at least be a little bit kinder and add a "hey" in so that it doesn't sound like a 12 year old demanding sweets, so that it'll sound more polite like a real adult requesting for the ( Read more... )

LOL yeah. Changed so much!

Well at least that's a much better reply than just delving right into the subject itself.

I know I should not be doing this, but I'm too busy laughing at the fact it's 'purple prose killers'. Seriously? They sound like a wannabe serial killer cult *facepalms*

XD

IT'S OKAY! I think a lot of people laughed at their name anyway. I somewhat did too. Can't be taken seriously. It's somewhat like a failed visual kei band.

Kudos for writing that suggestion to them! They really needed a light slap on the hand for being so rude and unprofessional even if they had the right to demand for the removal of said scanlation.

LOLOL. Yeah. They have the right to remove it, but that doesn't entitle you the right to impolitely speak to people.

aww sorry you got a C&D. but yeahhh they could've been a little friendlier. loll. DMP is actually telling everyone to look out for scanlation groups and let them know if they see anyone doing the guild's stuff.

LOL. That's because the bunch is very user-oriented and scanlator-oriented. And let's be truthful, this is the first time scanlation teams are treated so damn well they feel superior. TBH if you're in large fandoms and 'working' for them, you spend so much time on it but go unappreciated. Here, you spend time and GET PAID FOR IT. Even though you don't get to choose, you still get somewhat better returns.

Explains why it's probably a sense of elevation and power. ^^;;

LOL! Whoever wrote that first letter really made his/her group look bad..
I'm glad to see how mature you are by keeping your head cool even after reading that C&D letter =)
It's a good thing that the 2nd person seemed to realize how embarassing the first letter was.

XD I tried to be mature but I think I still somewhat failed at the part when telling to put in a proper way of addressing. Oh well, I got it to work anyway!

I do hope it's the second person, otherwise it would be just...pathetic in a sense. xD It means the same person has spent no effort into even using the time to type up a C&D. No one's going to take a person with no efforts seriously, lol.
