Missed the first update? At his electronic store, Deacon was a little short on staff but didn't mind stepping in when needed.
His days were always so long. . .but
since hooking up with Sandi their endings were something he really looked forward too.
"So will you come see me tonight?" he flirted knowing full well the answer.
". . . okay," she whispered softly.
She had been hiding this affair from her children and Deacon hadn't confessed his behavior to his girlfriend.
Despite how wrong this was (because of his status and their history) they were stronger than ever.
Both felt that the danger of the situation was as romantic as the natural chemistry between them.
When Sandi arrived smiles lit up the room.
"We know this is wrong," Deacon stated upon seeing her.
". . .very wrong," she answered with a devilish grin.
"D.J might flip. He knows we're not good together," Deacon smirked pulling her into a hug.
"Your girlfriend will be heartbroken," Sandi stated grasping him tightly
. . .
"But we're so good at this," he smiled.
". . .We're experts," Sandi whispered as she made her way to his lips.

Although the affair was secretive, Deacon did confide in one of his buddies.
To him, the fling between him and Sandi was too juicy to keep completely to himself.
"So your hooking up with an ex?" Cortland asked skeptically.
"Best I've had in along time," Deacon smiled.
"Your history is . . . fucked," Cortland said shoving pizza in his mouth.
"I think that's what makes it so hot," Deacon laughed.
Cortland rolls his eyes and knew this had trouble written all over it.
But he was having fun and someone would come to their senses soon enough.

After pizza Deacon and Cortland went to the living room to catch the game while there Deacon received a call from his girlfriend Andrea.
"I need to see you," she said in a panicked tone.
Deacon couldn't help wonder if she discovered his secret affair.
"Cortland is here the game is- - - " Deacon stated trying to get out of this situation.
Without hesitation she got really upset.
"Now Deacon it's important!" she demanded.
". . . if it's anything that important why not just tell me now?" he asked getting a little pissed off.
From his point of view, if she wanted to break up with him face to face he wasn't having it.
She could just end this here and now; skipping the formalities.
She was quiet but when Deacon heard her sobbing he couldn't help but think maybe he should be a little more gentle with her.
"Andrea. . . what's wrong?" he asked.
"I'm PREGNANT Deacon!" she spilled.
Deacons heart sank to the pit of his stomach. This had to be some kind of joke.
"Wait, what?! Come and see me," he finally agreed.

Deacon told Cortland goodbye and had quite a bit of fast thinking to do before Andrea arrived.
He wasn't in love with Andrea but if this was real he just couldn't make the same mistakes with this baby like he did with his son.
He wanted to be there for them, during the entire process.

When Andrea arrived Deacon knew exactly the approach he wanted to take.
He would be a good boyfriend and a supportive person, despite whether or not this was his plan.
They cuddled up on the sofa without saying so much as hello. This wasn't something Andrea wanted either.
She knew the type of guy Deacon was and didn't plan on settling down with him.
"We're together in this so I want you to move in with me," he proposed.
Andrea felt happy at the suggestion and accepted.
"We're going to be okay Andrea," he assured.

Weeks and months flew by and Deacon couldn't keep Andrea being pregnant a secret anymore.
As bad as it was, he'd still been seeing Sandi on the side. Not as much of course but she was something he had to let go of gradually.
Deacon wanted his son D.J to know about his new sibling.
D.J had always been so great with his sisters that Deacon hoped this would be nothing different.
Especially after the loss of his sister, this news might come as quite a shock.
"So. . . Andrea is pregnant," Deacon spilled.
"DAD!" D.J was shocked.
"I know. It couldn't be helped son," he stated.
"Oooh, you know it could have been helped," Deacon lectured with a small smirk on his face.
"So what's going to happen from here?" he asked.
"I'm going to do my best to raise my daughter with Andrea," he said formally.
. . .
There was a long pause after that statement.
D.J had just lost his sister, hearing that he would be a big brother again to another sister was somewhat heartbreaking.
"You were the best brother to Wilma D.J. The best," Deacon said.
He nodded slowly.
"So are you ready to meet them?" he asked.
"Sure," D.J smiled.

Inside D.J met and mingled with Andrea.
She was sweet enough and he couldn't help wonder how she got tangled up in the mess that was his father.
Deep down, although this news was shocking D.J was somewhat excited to meet the new little one.

Very soon after this meeting, labor pains came and Andrea gave birth to a little beauty named Katey.
She had Deacons eyes.
and upon looking into them Andrea knew Deacon was in fact right.
Everything would be okay.
