You know I read this without looking at the author's name & realized in the middle of Part 1 it had to be you. You've got such a lovely deft touch at characterization. Very well done.

Thanks so much! I was happy with both of those scenes- Zoe just strikes me as someone who wouldn't have a lot of tolerance for the tension between Kara and Felix. So glad you enjoyed!

You're welcome! And I am SO glad you enjoyed it. This was my first attempt writing Firefly, but I've always wanted to do a BSG/Firefly crossover. (Although I was sad I couldn't fit my Tom Zarek/Patience idea into this one. ;) ) And you're so right about Mal being quite the damsel in distress! :) I don't write Kara too often unless it's in AU form, but she really is fun to write, and I was really a little pleasantly surprised by her and Zoe. (I also strongly suspect they got drunk together a night or two, which is a female bonding fic I would totally love to read.)

I also glanced at your profile, and you are a woman after my own heart. Peter/Astrid, Gaeta/Gaius, Topher/Bennett, Mal/Serenity, Sirius/Remus.... and then on top of it you're an Ayn Rand fan, too? :) (btw- it's not listed on my LJ fic list, but you might like Breaking Dawn, which I wrote for yuletide last year and is Atlas Shrugged fic :) )
