▌summary: There is an ancient story, passed down through generation to generation. It is a story of good and evil. They say five beings will appear and save the world. They must band together to defend their home, but obstacles will stand in their way. Powers will try to convince them to stray from the rightful pather. To pit them against each other. Five others tried and failed, now it is their turn. If they stray, they will fail and the would will cease to exist.

Taemin's eyes slowly fluttered open just as a drop of water fell onto his face. He blinked a few times before he turned his head, looking around the room. It was like a movie. They were chained to the wall and Jonghyun was in a cage. It was terrifying. He looked at the end and noticed Kibum was there. Soo Man double crossed him.
"Hyung," Taemin said softly as he looked over at Minho on his other side, "Hyung, wake up."
Minho opened his eyes and instantly starting pulling at his restraints, "What the... Taeminnie."
"Taemin, Minho, you're awake," Jinki said as he sat forward. He looked over at Jinho and smiled at him, but he was distracted by Kibum who was also awake now, "What happened?"
Kibum looked away from them, "I felt terrible for what I did. You weren't supposed to get hurt. He lied to me and I said I didn 't want to apart of it anymore."
"How can we trust you?"
All eyes turned to Jonghyun, who was sitting on the ground of his cage. He glared up at Kibum, "You screwed us over once. Why wouldn't you do it again?"
"J-Jjong, I'm so sorry. I was just... he promised me you and... I took it," Kibum said, shaking his head, "No one was supposed to get hurt. Please believe me."
"Like you believed me when I said I was staring at that girl who came up to me?" Jonghyun retorted with a scoff.
Kibum stared down at the ground and nearly screamed when he saw a rat, "Taemin!"
"Scubs, get the others," Taemin said and the rat scurried away quickly. He leaned back on the wall and sighed, "Let's stop fighting and get out of this then we can fight."
"Very smart, Taeminnie," Soo Man said as he walked into the room. "But you'll never get out of here. It is that simple. And Key, I have a surprise for you."
Kibum glared at Soo Man, "What do you want?"
Soo Man walked over to Jonghyun's cage, "Well, it isn't a good surprise. I said I couldn't kill any of them, but it doesn't mean I can't hurt them."
"NO! Leave them alone! Hurt me!"
"Oh, I am," Soo Man grinned. He looked at Jonghyun and Jonghyun's eyes widened. A sudden strike of pain surged through his body and he felt like his body was splitting into thousands of pieces, "AHH!"
"NO! Jjong!" Kibum screamed, his arms thrashing against the chains as tears fell down his face.
Soo Man looked away from Jonghyun and turned to Taemin, then Minho and all that was left was Kibum. The rest were still in pain, "You asked for it."
Kibum closed his eyes tightly as he felt the pain surge through his body. He had made a terrible mistake in trusting Soo Man.

When Soo Man left, it felt like hours. They were sore and their bodies felt like they were on fire and Jonghyun was used to that, but not to this pain. Kibum was still crying, "I-I'm so sorry..."
Jonghyun leaned against the back his cage and shook his head, "Let's not... do this now."
"No, I want to get this out! I'm so sorry," Kibum cried.
"There will be time for this later," Jinki sighed, "Let's just relax. We can get out of this, let's just relax and we'll get out of here together and in one peace."
Kibum quieted down and stared at the ground. Minho sighed and laid his head back, "I wish Jungmin would just get us out of here."

When Soo Man left, it felt like hours. They were sore and their bodies felt like they were on fire and Jonghyun was used to that, but not to this pain. Kibum was still crying, "I-I'm so sorry..."
Jonghyun leaned against the back his cage and shook his head, "Let's not... do this now."
"No, I want to get this out! I'm so sorry," Kibum cried.
"There will be time for this later," Jinki sighed, "Let's just relax. We can get out of this, let's just relax and we'll get out of here together and in one peace."
Kibum quieted down and stared at the ground. Minho sighed and laid his head back, "I wish Jungmin would just get us out of here."
