Does Emma think the world is REALLY gonna end cuz of the asteroid? What's she think of that? All her long-term goals, all the sneaky plans, everything the Circle works for. Poof.

What's she think of Bahir's research, too: both sides, up and down, etc.

What purpose does Adel serve for Emma? You've talked about him grounding her and stuff. Elaborate!

Nope. She's kind of bought into the propganda that nothing like that is ever going to happen to the human race. She'll prepare for mass chaos, but she's still firmly convinced she'll be there at the end to control the outcome.

She kind of has control issues.

What's she think of Bahir's research, too: both sides, up and down, etc.Emma is the last person to throw stones at anyone wanting to develop something dangerous in order to be in control of it. In a weird way, this is the most alike she and Bahir have ever been. /Bahir/ would understand Wide Awake now ( ... )

What purpose does Adel serve for Emma? You've talked about him grounding her and stuff. Elaborate!Emma has always, /always/ been defined in large part by the men in her life. As a child and teen, it was Winston and Christan. Then Troy. Then Winston again, and then Shaw. That one was a long time. Percy was tosse din there too during that time. So she's developed a habit of being influenced by men. It's not a independent, proud baraccuda trait, but it is a long ingrained habit ( ... )

What does Emma truly feel for Scott beneath all the bluster and posturing on either of their parts clouding the issue?

What does Emma truly feel for Scott beneath all the bluster and posturing on either of their parts clouding the issue?Truly? Emma loved him. Still does, but in an exasperated "why the hell do you still get under my skin" way. Scott was, for a while, a chance of escape. He was there during her breathing room time when Shaw was gone, so he is kind of associated with the first "free" time she'd had. He also believed in her as someone other than the stone cold man eater, and coaxed out a better side in spite of herself. But his constant whinging about Xavier's and a refusal to just be happy with her drove her up the wall. He'd made a choice, but couldn't handle the consequences of it. It made Emma even more anti-Xavier's, which made it harder on Scott, which turned into a vicious cycle ( ... )

Do you think Jean and Emma can do lunch soon?

In other news, Emma is completely free of male domination a la Shaw or Winston Frost for the first time in her life. How's she liking it?

Sure! Maybe after Jean pokes through Scott's brain. >:)

I answered this a bit in the response to Adel, but to expand...

She's loving it.

She's enjoying not having a cloud of potential DOOM hanging over her head, though Magneto is a little DOOM cloud. She likes the freer hand it gives her. She likes proving that she is as (if nor more) competant at business and intrigue on her own as she ever was under the direction of a male.

I think that might be why she felt free to poke at Xavier. She got a little punchdrunk on Male Suppression.

WHAT are we going to do about Erik?

How does Emma feel about Percy as Rook? Magneto has been less than enthused about his general competency, but after a bit of rockiness hither and thither I feel like he is pretty well settled.

How does Emma feel about his latest uhm ... overtures towards restoring some of the silliness? Of course, I refer to the wacky adventures of Randy Hearse and Grace Snow.

Wtf with Leonardo?

Leo is kind of like a lot of NPCs I'd always assumed she interacted with fairly regularly through her life. He is a known entity. She finds his neophyte behavior amusing and predictable, and she likes predictable!

I don't know! He wasn't /my/ idea!

Ok, ok, IC protests aside, we're going to keep plying him with liquor and women and reinforce the mansions infrastructure.

Emma thinks Percy is quite competant as rook, when he's not emoing over his broken heart. Emma has never quite figured out how to handle Percy. She doesn't know what to do with someone whose emotions rule them so strongly (or at least for so long.)

As Rook, however, she felt like he'd finally come into a strength of his: manipulating people. This time, it wasn't just about manipulating for his own pleasure, but rather for a larger good. He was good at marshalling people and sussing out their particular strengths and weaknesses.

How does Emma feel about sex with women in general? (And Illyana in particular?) Just about power and control, or a way to relax without having to worry about men?

I tack on to this:

WHY did she do what she did with Illyana? Impulse? Plan? Regrets?

Emma uses sex as a weapon or a means of control, 95% of the time.

She doesn't have sex with women often because women aren't controlled by their libido like men.

When she has sex for pleasure, it'll most likely be with a guy.

However, sex with women is not unheard of for her! Thus, Illyana.

The thing with Illyana was about control. Of Illyana. Of teaching her something, of corrupting something a little, of being the First. It wasn't planned ahead of time, but she doesn't regret it. It was kind of fun!
