The awesome adventures of the X-Men, the semi-famous LGBT activist group, consisting of Charles Xavier, who is pansexual and an exceptional public speaker; Erik, the gay shark-robot who produces fantastic arguments for everything; Raven, Charles's genderfluid sister, who is badass in her own right; her boyfriends, the seemingly mute Azazel and transsexual Hank McCoy, who, after "approximately ten years of cliche teenage angst and self hatred" (his own self depreciating words), managed to become the sassiest socially awkward nerd ever; the terrifying and sexy lesbians Emma and Angel, who can verbally and physically cut you down to size; Alex, who acts like he doesn't want to be there but secretly loves them and their cuddles; Darwin, who know this and also knows all and Sean, who nobody is entirely sure about.

I love everything where they take part in LGBTQ activism and this prompt has such amazing details! This is just a tiny minifill where I took advantage of some of the more vague aspects of the prompt so I could write Alex/Darwin (my first time!), but I hope that's okay! Other people should write for this, too ♥
Of all the stuff mentioned in the title line, the focus here is on Alex/Darwin and asexuality
Darwin starts the car up as Raven bear-hugs Alex on the sidewalk. Their meeting has just had a rather final, if early, end, involving Emma and Angel making out on the couch-it is their anniversary, after all-and Erik kicking everyone out of his and Charles’ apartment. Despite the abrupt ending, it always takes time to really get away, especially with Raven and Sean convinced that Alex needs all the hugs they can give him. They’re right, of course, but it still adds an extra ten or fifteen minutes of playful hug-wrestling to the end of every X-Men meeting.
“Get off,” Alex shouts as he opens his door one-handed, shoving at Sean’s

So, so much love for this. I love Alex, the way he acts like he hates the affection but (not so) secretly loves it, the way he got involved with the X-Men, his past crushes on Charles and Erik, how he is so very Alex. And Darwin, oh ever-so-awesome-and-understanding Darwin. The mentions of Angel and Emma making out on the couch and getting everyone drunk is just so. Oh girls, how I adore you. And, and, and SEAN THE SERIAL HUGGER. RAVEN THE RESCUER. Oh yes.
