RUNAWAY ANGEL
“Tat-chan!” Kame sang out cheerfully.
“Huh?” Ueda replied. “I’m here! Gonna go out to grab some lunch okay?”
“Tat-chan!” Kame sang out again. He sneaked up behind Ueda and cupped his hands around his eyes.
“Kame!” Let go! I gotta go before this rain gets any harder!” Ueda chuckled lightly.
He pulled Kame’s fingers off his eyes and turned around to look him in the eye.
Kame was pouting, “Awww, Tat-chan! You promised you wouldn’t leave me alone! Take me with you?”
A lock of hair fell over one of his eyes and the way the sunlight reflected on his face made Ueda weak in the knees.
Ueda chuckled again, “You’re such a kid, Kame, when did you become so sexy?” He laughed and ruffled Kame’s hair.
“Don’t worry; I’ll be back before you know it!” He opened the door was about to walk about when Kame grabbed his hand and said,
“Here, take this with you!” and placed a small black umbrella in his hand.
Ueda smiled his soft, mysterious smile and then he was gone.
Kame sighed an exasperated sigh.
Ueda was gone for approximately 30 seconds and he already missed him like crazy~
this was not a good sign.
He wandered over to the couch and sat down; flipping the TV on.
Instead of watching anything, Kame just sat there and spaced out.
After a few minutes, Kame realized he was grateful to have some alone time,
with Ueda around, he wasn’t able to fall deep into thought.
He could barely think at all, truth be told.
He thought about his princess, his friends, how he should call them to let them know he was okay, he thought about all the things that had happened in the last 5 days, about how suddenly one simple thing changed his life so drastically. How it changed it forever.
But mostly…he thought about Jin…
He didn’t feel pain anymore.
He didn’t feel a yearning for Jin.
He only felt numb towards it.
His eyelids suddenly felt heavier and he slipped even deeper into thought, becoming completely oblivious to everything around him.
He realized how much happier they used to be when they were just friends.
How everything had completely changed when they decided to be more than that.
It felt wrong.
And that led Kame to think…
Would the same thing happen with Ueda?
But he knew everything would be fine.
It just felt so right. Almost as if was destiny…
Like it was meant to be…
Suddenly the front door creaked open loudly-
“Kame?” someone growled menacingly.
That voice…Ueda’s?
No…
Then he realized it---
Jin’s.
“A-Akanishi?” Kame stuttered.
He walked to the door and standing in the doorway was a soaking wet Jin.
Water dripping off his hair, his clothes, and his clenched fists.
Jin's expression was a solemn, he seemed like he was in pain.
“Oh my God!-Jin! You’re drenched!” exclaimed Kame.
“That doesn’t matter,” he growled again, brushing Kame’s comment aside.
Okay, I take that back, he’s just in a seriously irritable mood.
Jin strode quickly inside and slammed the door shut.
“Akanishi?...What are you doing?” Kame asked, confused.
Jin grabbed Kame by the shoulders and pushed him aggressively against a wall.
Kame was taken completely by surprise and he almost fell backwards but Jin’s body was roughly jammed up against his.
“Jin! Let me go! What are you doing?!” cried Kame.
“Kame, just shut up and listen to me…I-I can’t take this anymore! I can’t stand you ignoring me and not talking to me because of something so trivial like that! I can’t believe you would just throw away everything we shared that easily. Is that really how it’s going to be?” Jin blurted angrily.
Kame chuckled hoarsely, he couldn’t believe his ears, “Jin, you are impossible. This is unbelievable. I cannot believe you are blaming me for this. Do you even know where I was the past few days? I was here, with a huge fever and I almost got hospitalized-and for what? You stood me up and I was so damn stupid enough to wait for you. To wait for you for three hours. THREE HOURS, Jin. And you didn’t even care enough to visit, did you? Hell, I bet you didn’t even know!” Kame spat back.
Jin became silent. His face was turned down. Then he looked up and stared Kame in the eye, “I-I’m sorry…” he sighed, defeated.
“Look, Jin, let’s just talk about this another time, okay? I’m really not feeling well right now…I think you should go,” Kame replied.
“No, I refuse to leave. We’re gunna talk this out right here, right now,” Jin insisted stubbornly.
“Jin, you don’t understand, there’s nothing to say. I don’t have anything to say to you.”
Jin roughly grabbed Kame by his shoulders again and shook him violently. “Alright, you wanna know the truth, Kame? I still love you, always have. There, I said it, are you happy?” cried Jin, his voice in the verge of breaking.
Kame tried to explain, “Wait, no what are you talking about..? You can’t do---” and then Jin’s lips were on his; smothering him, stealing the breath right out of him.
Kame froze.
He kissed Kame roughly and their bodies were pressed even closer together.
He could feel the damp, cold wetness from Jin’s soaked clothes, seeping slowly onto his scorching skin.
Kame’s mind seemed to have stopped working.
He couldn’t push Jin off but neither could he kiss him back. He simply froze.
All he could do was close his eyes and hope that it was all a terrible nightmare.
It felt like it wasn’t even his body anymore-he couldn’t control anything.
The huge open wound on his heart that Ueda had so tenderly and carefully stitched back together was starting to unravel.
Everything he worked so hard to forget came rushing back at him.
Why did Jin have to torment him like this?
Why couldn’t he just leave him be…
Jin’s kiss got more and more insistent; more forceful.
Kame felt like he was being flattened against the wall.
Suddenly the front door was slammed shut…
But wait…wasn’t it already shut….?
That meant someone had opened it and close it…but the two of them didn’t even notice it.
Jin finally pulled away to see who their intruder was.
For some reason, Kame’s heart began to ache.
Then he realized why…
He knew who it was…
It was his everything, his love, his angel,
His life--
Ueda.
No.
NO!
Kame’s mind silently screamed at him.
He pushed Jin off him and stumbled unsteadily to the door.
“Kame? Where are you going??” Jin sputtered; startled.
“It-it’s Tat-chan…he-he needs me. It’s an emergency~ we’ll talk when I get back, I promise…”
“Wait! Kame! Tell me what’s going o-!” before Jin finished his sentence, Kame was already out the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Kame’s shoes smacked the linoleum floor of the hallway from his apartment complex in a rushed rhythm.
His heart was breaking as he ran; his stomach became a hundred-no, a thousand fluttering butterflies,
and his fists clenched so tightly,
his nails dug into the flesh of his palms and left little red moon shaped imprints on his skin.
But he didn’t care.
He just didn’t care-he couldn’t believe Ueda saw them; Jin basically raping Kame in his own apartment and Kame doing nothing to stop him.
A thousand thoughts darted through his head. He wondered what on Earth could Ueda be thinking and the mere thought of it made Kame sick to his stomach.
He clenched his fists tighter.
No-Ueda…It’s all a misunderstanding!
…I can’t let this happen...
No.
NO!
