You sound an awful lot like me, in how you deal with your problems. I'm so sorry, I wish I could do or say something that would help... but I don't know how to deal with it, ether. I'm sure the other wonderful people that read your LJ will be able to give you advice, though. Right, wonderful people?

As always, your cosplays look amazing! I think I saw Retro, actually. I remember doing a double-take after seeing someone from Dead Leaves. It was in a crowded hallway, though, so I didn't see you and I didn't stop to ask for a picture. I wish I would have, now!

YOU KNOW DEAD LEAVES!!!! That's awesome! You actually might have seen Jason (my Retro) without me - he left a bit earlier than us, and even they were late getting out (thanks to some people taking for-fuck-ever to shower that day - although I guess I should just be thankful that they did).

Love your photos! And uuugh I feel you on the doctor stuff. I always get an earful from my dad about spending money on doctors appts. And then getting one can be a challenge because SLU has like ONE shrink who can proscribe shit so yeah. It's awful. I hope things get better for you soon though! *dino huggles* :o)

Sorry about the tone I had - I know things will get better in a month or so when both me and Joel's money is regularly flowing (both of us just kind of started our jobs, and his G.I. bill money will start coming in at the regular rate instead of the prorated amount this summer when he was just getting started).

But how have you been otherwise?

Beirut is one of the most geographically diverse places I have ever seen. You have the coastline, with Banana Plantations, the areas leading to the mountains and the mountains themselves with Cedars, walnut, olive and almond trees (not to mention apples and grapes), the arid places that are almost desert in which livestock like goats tend to do well, and the almost desert like region Anjar which is above sea level, but is SUPER flat and dusty - the soil there is SO red, and between that and the irrigation canals that come down from the mountains (an unending source of water from the constant snowfall in the high elevations), you can grow ANYTHING in that soil.

There's enough cultural differences that I could never live there, but it's a place I'd definitely like to visit again, and I'm sure someday I will :) This time I'll bring Joel with me, so he's not just the phantom husband I talk about all the time :)

I'm so glad we were able to see you Natalie, even if only for a pinch :) And not to parrot everyone else, but many those photos are gorgeous ♥ I'm glad you had a wonderful time being able to see your family. And oh!! Is that second costume the one you were having trouble with, in terms of the wig? I remember you posting on Facebook about a wig being shipped twice to you that was way too thin and thus unmanageable. For what it's worth, it came out incredible awesome!

I miss you so much girl. I had SUCH a good time hanging out with you, Michael, Heather, Rachel and T.J. all those times at Heather's place, and I really miss those days...

And Beirut was absolutely stunning. I'm really trying hard to put all the pictures on Facebook, but I kept getting hung up over putting them in a photo editor to take care of some of the things that were messy about them (my camera has an LED screen, and the sun was SO strong the whole time I was out there, I had a hard time seeing how the pics were coming out as I was taking them.

And thanks about the wig! I don't think I did terribly, but the ponytail was totally Jason and Skye helping me at the last minute. I love those guys SO much!

All of us back in the burgh miss you a ton too. It was just getting to be a blast seeing you and Joel every Sunday. Then again, all of us have been so busy since Rachel and Heather moved 20-25 minutes away that we might catch each other once every two weeks.

I understand how that goes :) After a convention I'm so excited and want to post all of my photos but restrain myself because I know I have to size them all down and it takes foooorrreeeevvveerrr even with an action set in Photoshop.

I really do like it! I think the color is especially neat ♥
