01 ☂ AUTHOR’S NOTES ;
Yup, there’s Hello Kitty umbrellas in here. LOL. And oh my gosh! Toma! I added my husband in here. Mwahahahs, I’m liking writing this story more and more. Oh, I've written five chapters. I have no idea where I'm going. I like chapters one to three, but with chapters four and five, I was like, "Where the heck am I going with this?!" I can't be stuffed erasing those chapters and rewriting 1200 words, so... yeah. When I post those chapters, you can decide if I have already lost creativity.

☂ CHAPTER TWO ;
After school, Mai held her frilly Hello Kitty umbrella above her head. It was raining. She was waiting impatiently, but also, angrily. She can't believe the teacher just decided this all by himself, without her permission!
She watched her fellow classmates go home, laughing with big groups of friends, kicking puddles at each other. Mai sighed. Books were the only friends she could make. No one bothered to be her friend.
Then Nino appeared, along with his friends. Sho was laughing as always, clapping his hands together whenever he found something amusing. "Nino getting taught by Yoshida! How hilarious is that?!" Mai blushed.
Ohno Satoshi looked up at the sky, quite sadly. "Looks like I can't go fishing today," he murmured. Mai's heart took a leap.
Out of the five boys in this group called Arashi, Ohno was the most sensible, the most reliable. Mai had liked him for the three years she's been in the same school as him, but never could she understand why him and Nino could be so close.
"You're here?" Nino said. Arashi finally sensed her presence. Mai only nodded, glancing down. She could feel Ohno looking at her. Why didn't she bother to plait her hair today? Or curl it, or...
Nino sighed loudly. "I guess I'll be going now guys," he said, waving. Arashi waved back as Nino and Mai walked away. Mai followed Nino as he passed the school gates. She took one last glance at Ohno, who was getting his umbrella out.
'I wish I had the guts...' she found herself thinking. Snapping out of her thoughts, she realized Nino had no umbrella. "Ninomiya-san!"
"What?"
"Where's your umbrella?"
"How would I know it was gonna rain?"
Mai reached for her bagpack, and took out an extra umbrella. She ran, trying to catch up with him. "Dozo," she offered.
He looked at it. Then he laughed. "Baka," he smirked. "Sanrio, ne? I'd rather get drenched." Mai blushed once again. Why does he make it seem bad for 17-year-olds like her to still like Sanrio?!
After 10 minutes of walking in silence, they arrived at an ice cream shop. "The best ever!" Mai said, her eyes twinkling as she went in. Nino looked around the shop. Seeing no one familiar, he sighed in relief. He'd hate to be seen in public with Yoshida Mai.
"Mai-chan!" the guy behind the counter called out to his favourite customer, and also childhood friend. "Toma-kun!" Mai greeted back.
Nino looked at him up and down. Mai can't possibly have a boyfriend... Can she?
"Oh!" Toma exclaimed as Mai was looking at the counter, trying to pick an ice cream flavour. “Mai-chan, did you bring your boyfriend today? I’m jealous…”
Mai looked back at Nino, and blushed. “Him? He’s just a guy I’m forced to tutor. Ooh, I haven’t had mango in a while.”
Hearing that, Nino got angry and walked off to a table, sitting down. Why is she complaining? She’s not the one being forced to be tutored. For five minutes, he waited for Mai and Toma to stop talking so Mai can ‘tutor’ him already. Mai laughed at everything Toma said. It made Nino sick.
When Mai finally finished her mango ice cream, she walked to the table Nino sat at. “Take out your books,” she said. He did so. She grabbed his workbook, and flicked through.
She stopped to a page. “How can you not get this? If you don’t get this, how can you have passed last year?!” Nino shrugged. He made up his mind. He’ll try to piss her off, as much as she pissed him off.
Mai wrote down the problem and she wrote down the steps on how to solve it. She put it in front of Nino, and started explaining the steps.
After five minutes, she finished. “Get it?” Nino shook his head.
Mai took a deep breath, trying to calm down. Nino tried to not laugh. He got it alright. She wrote so many steps, how could he not? But it was more fun this way.
“Alright, let’s go through it again…”
