Ahh, the end of summer, or in the case of Los Angeles, the beginning. You see summer hasn't really hit us here yet. We've had one or two days of 90+ temperatures but that's it. So it feels a bit odd to be doing my annual "fall television billboards have taken over my neighborhood" post, but here it is nonetheless ( Read more... )

Sorry, just passing through because of your Sherlock-flavored post and saw this entry. I have absolutely no idea what My Generation is about but the text on those billboards are very reminiscent of postsecret, except more vague. Based on those alone, it doesn't look like something I would want to watch. My guess would be it's about a bunch of hot twenty-somethings with srs bsns relationship issues. Yay or nay?

I live about an hour outside of L.A. and Hawaii Five-O and No Ordinary Family are the only shows that seem to be heavily advertised this far out. I haven't even heard of some of these shows before this post.

Thanks for looking around AND for answering my inquiry! The concept of the show is that a documentary crew films a diverse group of high school students in 2000 and then in 2010 they do a 10-year follow up a.k.a. "where are they now?" so the show will have "footage" and be set from both then and now.

Interesting idea, I thought, but not sure if it'll work and the billboards do it NO favors!
