Ah there's the Taizée - part, praying in the woods *g*
Garcia's always a sweetie, but somehow I can't see JJ being this unprofessional. I can totally see her ending all personal business she might have had with Emily, she might even stop smiling and touching; she would be all professional. And I wonder if that wouldn't be even harder for Emily.

Well it depends on the way you define talking. Because REALLY stopping talking at all was actually not what I meant. But if she was all professional, wouldn't it feel like that?

Besides, Hotch would never allow two of his team members to not participate in briefings or anything - because that would be one of the consequences wouldn't it?

Maybe I misunderstood.
But it seemed that JJ would avoid talking to Emily as much as possible, even on the job. Like she speaks to the team and ignores Emily.
But you're right, Hotch wouldn't let it interfere with the job.

You have to understand that it's written out of a very limited pov. So to Emily it might seem as if the little things JJ actually still said to her were so few that it was like not talking at all. but already a friendship turning into a completely prefessional relationship has the ptential to interfere with the atmosphere in a team as close as the BAU. and after I wrote all of this it seems to me as if Hotch did interfere a little but not by confronting Emily but by asking Garcia to take care of her. It's a thought I had afterwards. When I write I usually just write. I don't think.
