What now?

It is a little strange having time to work on my other various projects that got put on hold during the past several months of working on TempleCon. I'm not entirely sure what to do with myself. Part of the problem is that I've been under the weather for most of the past two weeks, since the massive, extended sleep-deprivation leading up to the ( Read more... )

Sorry I didn't get to the convention; what with everything that happened, I had no time to get down there. When I get a new apartment, we'll just have to arrange some time for a visit.

Hear, hear! I've definitely been missing people during this extended time of being up-to-my-eyebrows in work... Let me know when you're moved in and have some breathing room as far as the job goes, and I'll make the road trip. :)

I hope to have birthday-like events so you can see some Boston folk, if you come and celebrate 40 years of La.

Please?

Love you, gorgeous!

I love you in return, Beautiful One, and will be happy to come celebrate with you, just as soon as I get over this lingering bug that's turned me into an anti-social zombie... :P

If you cannot make it to any of the various sundry events I am creating to hopefully see most people I like, I would really like to do something with you. Especially!

Though, having you and Grant back at the Tempo Bistro again on my birthday would be a cool "bring the cycle around" sorta thing. But I so totally understand getting well rested, I surely do.

Hugs only because I think maybe I am coming down with a fever.

Heh. Yeah, but I haven't exactly gotten the hang of using it... ;P

As for life, well, there have been days (weeks? months?) in the past year when Murphy's Law has used my life as a trampoline, times when I've felt like my life was starting to resemble a real-life Donner Party adventure, plagued by, in the words of Rasputina, "coincidental misfortune at every turn." However, these days, things have been looking up (knock on wood!), in large part due to a determination on my part to put the metaphysical blinders on and focus purely on applying elbow grease to each part of my life in need of polishing, regardless of all the distractions that the mundane world has to throw at me.

And you? What's new in your world?

I know what you mean about "metaphysical blinders"; I've been really trying to improve my ability to focus lately on certain aspects of life that I wish to improve upon or enhance, allowing myself to take each in stride as opposed to viewing it all as one giant Cthuluesque creature that needs to be vanquished in one fell swoop...and me with only a kitchen knife.

On more mundane levels, life is pretty good! I'm living near Davis Square, have a big cuddly hellion of a cat named Sparticus (I didn't name him, but he lives up to it whenever he gets, um, "playful".), and am working a lot more on writing these days. Maybe sooner or later, I'll actually do something with it. Stranger things have happened!
