So, today's game was "do shit you should have done three months ago". I'm poorer now, but at least I have some shit taken care of that I won't have to do (or pay) again.

On the "good news" front, I actually finished a few things I had been putting off for a while. Nothing worth mentioning, just mundane stuff, but it feels good to get stuff off my back.

I'm getting tired of getting sick for no good reason. I wish I had a bad habit to give up, like smoking or drinking, but it seems I get sick even without habits like that.

So, to indicate how much I've been thinking about the Threads of Damocles LARP lately, I found a couple of condoms in a box and checked the date on them -- and saw they expired in 2012. And my first thought was, "Oh, yeah, the year of the Event, when everything went kaboom."

We eventually ended up going with Comcast. Not that they're the best -- they canceled installation on us once, but they did show up the second time and that's better than Verizon. We have Internet at home now.

And I think that it says something that the best, most efficient customer service I got from Verizon was when I called them to disconnect.

Oh great and powerful LJ Genie, and suggestions for getting broadband (of any sort) in the Hyattsville, MD (Greater DC Metro) area? Verizon is TEH SUCK.
