I heard 'Je Veux Te Voir' on my friend's page and, on a whim, I decided to translate it. I had a tonne of help from wordreference.com and I confirmed/corrected my translation with another because Yelle uses slang I haven't learned in class --and likely never will xD. The song is pretty explicit, so it's behind an LJ-cut.

I definitely need to practise my French and I'll email you as soon as I'm back from London (I leave in, like, two days, yay =D!). I don't know much colloquial French, as I haven't actually used it outside the classroom D: -- and I'm very formal, with a tendency to vouvoyez everyone and their mother (my mother too, actually), so I had a lot of help from Google<3. I only wish my professional French was stunning, but I’m trying^^. I’m from Toronto and I’ve studied French for almost nine years (since third grade). Unfortunately, the school board doesn’t take it very seriously, so we were treated like preschoolers until ninth grade. I’m on my way to my twelfth (and final!) year of high school. The curriculum is still slower than I’d like sometimes, but I’ve tried to immerse myself in the language as much as possible and I’m supposed to hit Paris at some point during my trip, so I’m superexcited =D. What about you, leaffan, where are you from? I’d guess Quebec ( ... )

Zut, I've been such an awful LJer o___o. London was lovely; I didn't see as many sights as I originally planned, but I liked it. Paris is beautiful and it was such an ego trip to communicate with people in French =3. I couldn't believe I actually understood them. I'm utterly in love with the city and I cannot wait to go back x). I'm in school at the moment, so I'll email you as soon as I get home. Sorry, real life is such a pain lately >____<, but I definitely plan to keep in touch.
