What a wonderful story! The drama, the suspense, the romance...it was all that you could ask for in a wonderful story and more. I looked forward each day for your post and I am going to definitely miss it. Thank you for such a wonderful story. I hope to read more from you in the future!!

I still love your icon. Nothing can beat two spectacular Uhuras.

I'm truly happy this read like an actual story. Whenever you miss them, please stop by again and visit. They'll come out to play every once in awhile in shorter stories. When the God of Time releases me again, I'll begin something longer.

Thank you again for reading and commenting.

Girl better take that second degree if she wants aboard Enterprise. As it stands now, Pike would be wise to *avoid* having the two of them, Spock and Uhura, aboard the same ship due to the fact Uhura has such a strong effect on Spock's behavior and visa versa. Starship Captains want a smooth running ship.

Will the situation with the Romulan girl be addressed further? I feel this very interesting plot point was lost in the sex shuffle...

I can't say this fic is to my tastes. Nor am I certain the characters are always OC, but it is very well written for what it is... you do a good job with dialogue and you do not shy away from difficult issues. If someone is looking for a S/U fic with lots of sexy times and some good action and drama- then this would fit the bill, I am sure.

Well done. :)

*head hits desk with thud*

Fee! This is absolutely not true. The spell has been broken. The lust, the hormones, the chemical changes and everything else has been put in proper perspective. We left them in love and a little bit insecure about this concept, not insane. Now that they're together, they will never again fall prey to this craziness.

The story came full circle. As I said before, everything Spock warned Uhura about came to pass. They not only survived it, but they'll actually become stronger for it.

I feel this very interesting plot point was lost in the sex shuffle...This was a regrettable loss, but the REAL WORLD trumps fiction. While I was picking and poking at this piece, I stumbled across a potential real world application. From there, I consulted one of our theoretical linguists and the grant proposal we discussed at my other journal ( ... )

"The spell has been broken. The lust, the hormones, the chemical changes and everything else has been put in proper perspective. "

THEY know this. YOU know this. But does PIKE know this? Not really. He is only privilege to what he *knows* and all he really knows is Spock and Uhura lost it with each other. He can only make a decision based upon what he knows...and based upon THAT having both of them on the same Starship is a dangerous decision. We make decisions based upon the information we have access to, and upon a person's previous behavior. Unless Spock and Uhura are going to sit down and go into details about their sex life with Pike, he is missing some of the major information here.

And yes, the "well done" is genuine. THIS is not a fic I would seek out to read, but I am quite sure others would find it perfect. It is well written and well structured. It is not riddled with grammatical errors or scientific inaccuracies. I am not one to insist that "good" fic be only that conforms to MY personal tastes.

Whoa! You're putting the cart before the horse. Pike isn't even a character in this story. Not yet. He'll appear in sequels and then and only then will we even know if he'll need to deal with Spock and Uhura's relationship. At this stage, he is not privy to their intimacy. He doesn't know they were lost in each other. No moves have been made regarding Spock's possible position as First Officer either. At least two out of the three years need to be covered before we get to that point.

As an author, I never rush anything of this magnitude. It'll take a few thousand pages to sort this out.

And yes, the "well done" is genuine.

Thank you very much.

I am not one to insist that "good" fic be only that conforms to MY personal tastes. We are in agreement here. Most stories I would classify as "good" seldom ever conform to my personal tastes. As a rule, I also try to limit my personal preferences in the stories I pen. I try to ( ... )
