Not at all, your Spock is a good balance of Vulcan and Human. My only beef is I doubt T'Pring objects to his existence, after all humans helped her to be head of the Vulcan Council under Captain Archer. She seemed appreciative then and even in TOS in Amok time she was courteous to Kirk and McCoy. Never understood fics that portray her as some kind of Vulcan racist.
t was very very gratifying to see Spock neutralize Gathright that way.
Thank you. I couldn't make him a flat-out murderer in the legal sense. At best, I thought I could get away with making him a Vulcan in love and hope that it's enough!
I truly do appreciate you dropping by daily to let me know you're reading. I hope this story hasn't been too tiring. :) My writing has a way of being exhausting. *sigh*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fic! I'm bookmarking this story so that I can re-read at will. This is an amazing story; it had all the parts of a romantic, sci-fi, thriller with comic relief on the side. You are such a thoughtful, kind and considerate author. You take care of your audience and you communicate with us. Not to mention how quickly you update. My goodness! I'm so grateful that you never gave me a chance to go into full blown fic withdrawl where I'd resort to begging for updates. Thank you. toodles! P.S. Happy New Year if I don't tell you before your next update.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed this story. If I decide to post it somewhere else, perhaps I can borrow this line, with your permission, of course: it had all the parts of a romantic, sci-fi, thriller with comic relief on the side.

Pros as paid in cash. Fan writers are paid in comments. I sincerely recognize how much effort goes into reading and commenting on a story, especially one with multiple chapters. I would be a fool if I ignored you or pretended that you don't matter.
As I told another writer the other day, authors breathe life into characters and stories. Readers sustain them. Without readers, characters and stories die. When it comes down to it, I don't need a million readers singing my praises. I just need a handful who can sympathize and support these characters.
where I'd resort to begging for updatesIf a reader has to do this, then it's a clear case of WriterFail. I'm quite distressed that you all had to

You most definitely may borrow that line to use, but you can't have it! I may need to use it again to describe this story to someone else.
I'm a bit of a hedonist when it comes to reading; I want my stories RIGHT NOW! I need immediate gratification but waiting doesn't kill me nor does it kill my desire for the story.

Thanks for the line borrowing!
I want my stories RIGHT NOW!
I used to torture readers (unintentionally) with WIPs. Thankfully, I learned that was the worst way to go. Comments, both positive and negative, have a way of influencing the progression of the story and that is bad.
Thanks again for truly quality writing.
Thank you for quality feedback. More coming in a few more days!
I don't even know what to say...Seriously every night I would wait to go to bed until the next part was posted. This story was addictive and I love this world you have created. Okay..."coochie" LMAO, I haven't heard that since Jr. High. Loved it (now I've graduated to saying vajay-jay...lol). I can't wait for the epilogue and missing scenes.
Thank you for posting three chaps a day, and posting so consistently. As a reader I know authors are busy in RL and continuity is appreciated. Seriously though, I really need more stories in this universe...please tell me this ride isn't over! Again great work and thanks for sharing.

Wow! This is a serious compliment. Uhura/Spock, crackhead OC and I all thank you so much. The time difference deal is taxing, isn't it?
"Coochie" refers to a private joke in my home and I couldn't resist using it. I frequently have moments when I hear ZQ screaming, "Coochie, coochie... coochie power activate."
I'm tremendously pleased that you enjoyed reading about these characters and the first few months of their joint lives. Waiting to post a completed story (with a few alterations) was definitely the best move. I truly appreciate you supporting this piece.
The ride isn't over. Upheaval is only the beginning. Now this Uhura and Spock are free to roam where they may. Thank you again for supporting them.
The epilogue and deleted scenes are coming in a few days. My vacation time is almost over and I'll miss this because it's been a fantastic ride!
