Laura, having been wandering from the library and back to her room with yet another book, heard the sound of somebody stepping into the mansion. She stopped in her tracks, and sniffed the air; it certainly wasn't anyone she recognised. Another new arrival, then.

Taking slow, cautious steps, Laura leant against the wall at the end of the corridor and peered around. There was a girl, probably around her age, carrying ridiculously large bags over her shoulder. Really, Laura couldn't understand why anybody would possibly need so many belongings.

After a moment, she stepped out into view, letting her presence be known. Perhaps the girl required some form of assistance.

Hisako was almost relieved when she spotted a girl appear around the corner. Another student, her age, who didn't seem hostile. From the looks of it, she'd seem to have settled in already, which meant she probably knew her way around by now.

"Hello?" She called out, giving a little wave and sheepish smile. "Do you know where the dorms or something are?"

Mimicking the motion, Laura waved back, and then tucked her book under one arm. Judging from the tone of her voice, she certainly seemed a lot nicer than the last person Laura had helped with her bags, and so she saw no reason to not step forwards and assist.

“I know where the dorms are,” Laura said, once she was face to face with her. She held out one hand, gesturing for Hisako to hand over a bag.

"Cool, okay," said Hisako, following her automatically. She was a little surprised at Laura's gesture, shaking her head politely but in definite refusal. "Oh no, it's okay, I can handle my own bags or I never would've packed so much. Thanks though."

"So, uh. I'm Hisako, hi," she said almost awkwardly.
