4pm // Jane's office of mystery and adventure? cantstaymarried March 2 2011, 19:19:48 UTC
Wilson wasn't overly keen on making house calls, in general if someone needed help he'd prefer them to come to him. If he went round looking for sick people, especially in this place, he'd never have time to get anything else done. Still. The argument he'd been given had been... persuasive. And added to with the cup of coffee in his hand. So, he freed himself up by stacking the tea on his coffee and knocked carefully on the door, letting it swing a little more open.

"Knock knock!"

Just in case the knocking itself wasn't enough. His mystery patient did, surprisingly (given what he'd been told), appear to be absorbed in a considerable amount of paperwork.

Jane looked up from what he was doing, not exactly thrilled to be interrupted.

"Doctor Wilson, come with more headache cures?" It wasn't a subtle dig, nor was it fair, really, since his headaches had been powers-related and outside the realm of traditional medicinal help. Still, though. Jane disliked doctors on principle.

He spied the tea. "I see someone's informed you about the bribe around here. Let me guess... Emma Frost."

"I prefer to stick to plausible deniability. Safer that way."

He steps in and carefully closes the door behind, ignoring the general negative vibe he was getting.

"Actually, some people have been... concerned about you. The bribe is being passed on, seemed only fair."

He sets the tea down and gives an easy shrug.

"So, either we can get this over with and you can tell me what's wrong or you can make a big deal out of pretending to be fine. Your call."

Jane closed his files, under the pretense of clearing room for his tea. He absolutely hated being cornered, and could feel himself bristling already.

"Concerned. Then obviously it's not Emma because she knows about my little session with Terry Ward." He eyed the tea suspiciously, as if it might be laden with drugs or something equally fantastic. "Irene, then?"

Staff room, afternoon? historycodebook March 2 2011, 22:00:26 UTC
Reki's coffee pot seemed to have broken somehow when he went to make a fresh cup. The thing would not heat up at all. (He made a mental note to have Gumi take a look at the machine.) Hours into the workday, Reki found himself carving another cup to help ward off the afternoon loss of energy. And there was still plenty of work still left to do for the day.

With the nearest coffee pot being the staff room (and therefor taking the least amount of time to reach), Reki decided to wander in with his mug ready and looking a little out of place. It wasn't just how young he normally looked, thanks to his mutation. It was also that he rarely visited the staff room at all.

He sighed and asked to no one in particular, "Now, where's that coffee...?"

Jane had only come in here for the snacks, and to escape the din of the kitchen and dining area. He would have preferred to work, but the growling of his stomach was a distraction.

His eyes traveled downward, and he leveled a strange gaze at the diminutive man. "Is the other pot broken? In the kitchen, I mean."

"I wouldn't know. I didn't go down there." Reki didn't bother looking at the other man, and after a little searching, Reki found the coffee pot he was looking for. "I'll just be here for a second, and you can go back to doing whatever you were doing."

Jane knew this probably went without saying, but, "Do you teach here?"

I didn't think animals were allowed inside.

Docks at the Boathouse | Morningish tacticalnap March 3 2011, 02:31:55 UTC
And yet again, Caesar could be found doing what he does best: underachieving. To be more specific, skipping class. Again. His attendance had hit rock bottom in the past week and today he was planning to keep working on that 'no classes' record. He was sprawled out at the end of the boathouse dock, legs dangling over the edge, far enough above the water so his boots don't get wet. Today's slacker plan? Stare at clouds. Imagine them to be things. Profit.

"...and that one's a rabbit... that one is a dragon. Huh. That one looks like Cuba..."

"I was gonna say it looked more like a bad mustache," Jane said, coming to sit down next to Caesar. "At least you're on the grounds today. Maybe in a month I'll find you inside the building?"

"It's all in the interpretation." Because Cuba looks like a bad mustache and bad mustaches look a lot like Cuba. His attention moved on to the next cloud. That one, maybe a castle. "Meh. I wouldn't bet on it. School's out next month, isn't it?"

"There are summer terms."

He tipped his head back, scanning the clouds. This hadn't been a pastime of his in a very long time. Not since--

"Georgia. The country, not the state. As long as we're keeping with Geography, here."

Kitchen-Evening-Tea drinkers of the Institute unite? soveryverylost March 4 2011, 05:28:17 UTC
Ryoga pulled yet another box of tea bags from the cupboard near the coffee maker. This one stated the contents were orange pekoe. He set it down next to the others: Earl Gray, English breakfast, chamomile, and peppermint. Surely there was some green tea in there somewhere! He could see another box in the back, so he dug it out.

"Blueberry?" That was just weird.

He was still trying to adjust to the time difference from Japan, and green tea always relaxed him, but it looked like he was going to have to settle for something else. He sighed, glanced around the kitchen, and realized he was not alone.

There was a blond man sitting nearby, and judging by the china cup in his hand, also here to enjoy some tea. Maybe he could help Ryoga with something that had been puzzling him.

"Excuse me," he asked, "but is there a kettle somewhere for boiling water?"

Jane looked up, seemingly amazed to find someone else in the room. He'd gone off in his head, again.

"Second cupboard to your left."

Ryoga turned back to the cupboards.

"Left..." Which one was that again? Hoping the stranger wasn't watching, he held up his hands, palms facing away from himself, and extended his thumbs and index fingers. The left hand made an "L."

He located the kettle and put some water on to boil. As long as he was waiting, he might as well try and be social.

"What kind of tea are you drinking? I was hoping there might be some green tea, but I guess we're out, if we ever had any."

Jane was always watching, and was about to say something before Ryoga did his 'left hand makes the L' thing.

Hmm, he could always go for a fresh cup.

"Earl Grey. We're out of Oolong. Green too, but I don't drink that." Back home, Cho was always the green tea drinker. Definitely the Korean in him.
