He glances up and instantly he's frowning. It is a suspicious frown, because he is not really sure what you could possibly want to talk about --

Jane had prepared for this, John being on the defensive from the outset. He steps fully inside the door, expression neutral.

"This isn't a favor. I'm saving your John Hancock for something much more useful down the line," he said cryptically, before putting one of his hands in his jacket pockets. "Just a chat."

He shut the door behind himself with a soft click, but remained where he was. Giving John time to adjust to him in his space.
