Characters: Lelouch and Miles Location: The roof Time: During classes Content: Lelouch is angsting because Nunnally left. Again. Warnings: Possible makeouts
Miles had, of course, noticed Lelouch's collar adjustment. It was so nonchalant that he wasn't sure, really, whether it was a signal or not. In the end, though, he erred on the side of caution and excused himself, about five minutes after Lelouch had left the room.
He went up to the roof, where he saw his friend standing alone. "Lelouch," he said simply.
He snapped his phone shut and glanced suspiciously back at the visitor. "She's gone back to Ashford," he told him. His face softened a bit. "She'll be kept safe there. The headmaster there is sympathetic to mutants." Despite his words he still didn't seem pleased. He looked worried for her, still.
"She has enough control over her powers to avoid drawing too much attention. Seizures are not difficult to excuse, should she slip." And that may make her a liability. If she saw what he was planning, or saw enough to show her his alternate identity, she became a liability. A major liability if Charles found out what his forsaken daughter was capable of.
He turned to face Miles. "At least her flight home was unharried. The scanners were still not working when her flight left."

"Perhaps it's for the best, given the things that have happened here recently."
