[Keeping the party a secret from Sanji hadn't been too hard for Tiana. It was simply a matter of keeping him busy in the kitchen. All she had to do was smile and fib about Dessert Appreciation Club having a get together of some sort and her ever stressful burden doing the catering. Of course, he was more than happy to help, resulting in the two baking dessert after dessert.]

[Now she was pushing a cart full of sweet delights (she insisted on this and even pouted) with Sanji by her side, approaching the entrance.]

Couldya get the door for me, Mister Sanji, and check if anyone is inside? [Of course, she already knew what was hiding within the dark room.]

[Even if she hadn't given him such a valid and very unsuspicious reason for requiring his company, Sanji would have spent any amount of time with his gracious assistant and been utterly oblivious to any ulterior motives, as the presence of such a benevolent lady was wont to disperse the hopeless cook's brain into a contented vapor at the drop of a hat. As it was he'd enjoyed the craft, and although he would very much have liked to assist with the transport of the resulting delicacies, he trotted along besides Tiana like an obedient and exceedingly happy golden retriever.]

But of course! [Swooping over to the door in a rapid but still utterly ridiculous move, the chef blithely opened the door to find the lights off, still completely unaware of what was going on literally in front of his nose.]

[Chuckles at his ever eccentric yet gentleman-like actions. Trust Sanji to turn something as simple as opening a door into a grandiose gesture. Seeing him peer into the room, she goes inside first, and sees the room clear of any visible life.

[Time to give the signal. Calls loudly, more so towards the room than the chef.] C'mon now, Mister Sanji. We better start settin' up these sweets.

[As soon as the blond man, steps through the door, the lights switch on. Suddenly people jump out of their hiding places, throwing confetti towards him and shouting]

SURPRISE!!!!

[What. Wait, what the WHAT.]

[He was a little surprised at Tiana's vociferous insistence, but this paled into insignificance next to the outright astonishment at seeing the room full of people in what was very evidently a surprise birthday party. For him.]

[Oh god, the embarrassment knew no bounds.]

I- wh- you di- for m- ?! [He kept trying to start saying something and failing as he looked back and forth between the plan's cunning director and the result, but he couldn't keep looking like he'd been smacked in the face with a sizable fish forever, as he eventually broke into a very red-cheeked but rather pleased and sheepish grin, bowing to the contents of the room awkwardly.]

You didn't have to... but thank you.
