[Blair had been wandering around the campus (she didn't really know which part of the institute she was in, actually) when she came upon a man poking at a wall with a sword. She silently approached him out of curiosity.]

Hi...?

[Maybe it was a weird training routine for the people at this school, or something.]

[quite brightly] Hello!

[lowers broadsword and takes cigarette out of mouth] Did you notice, by chance, that the walls seem to be breathing?

Really? That's fun~!

[Blair rests a hand on the wall. She feels it slightly pulsating beneath her palm.]

Oooh, you're right. Try stabbing it, maybe it'll bleed!

I was worried about that, though. Blood is a pain to clean out of carpets.

[hefts broadsword though, after tucking his unlit cigarette behind his ear]

[Tina, dressed normally for the first time since returning from 60AD, is drifting down the corridor and humming to herself, somehow completely oblivious to the breathing walls that surround her]

[unfortunately the sword-wielding man in the middle of the corridor is considerably more conspicuous! She shrieks in alarm and dives for a nearby door, thinking the Institute was under attack yet again. Sadly for her, the door is in fact a broom closet but right now Tina isn't all that discerning. Tina bundles herself inside and slams it behind her, stifling her mouth with her hands as she sits on an upturned bucket]

[hears the shriek and looks up in time to see someone duck into a broom closet]

[after a moment, realizes that perhaps a broadsword is not the most innocuous item ever and tucks it into the scabbard at his side before knocking on the door] Euh, are you alright?

[firstlaugh]

[At first Tina doesn't actually recognize Courfeyrac as being the same person from outside with the sword]

[high-pitched, between her fingers:] There's a guy with a--

[suddenly notices the scabbard and RECOGNIZES HIM oh sweet jesus he is going to kill us all] -- aah, don't kill me!

[puzzled] Eh? I have no intention of doing so at all. I'm not really the homicidal type. I assure you that the broadsword is merely for personal adornment and for threatening the architecture.

I see your innuendo and I raise you a double entendre

[raises his eyebrows]

[looks at sword with pride] It takes some getting used it, but it's great once you know how to use it correctly.

[the smirk morphs into a genuine smile]

[aka Warren was sick with worry and only barely refrained from the rescue mission for Enjolraic reasons]

Eh, being unwillingly transported back in time has its ups and downs. [brightens] Volly was with me though. Have you met him? He's absolteuly adorable, though he still hasn't learned not to just grab shiny objects and sleep on top of them.

[after a moment] Volly's a dragon. Um. Anyways, how are you Warren? I hope you managed to stay in this time!

[Ariadne is kinda freaking out. Just because she thinks architecture can take on a life of its own, she doesn't mean literally . The man poking the wall isn't really helping much either.]

[frowns at wall, then, careful not to drop his cigarette] You really think so?

[walks towards the wall, leaning her ear close to it]

Yep, the breathing definitely got louder.

[with mild disbelief] Seriously?

[approaches wall with the distrust of a cat exposed to a new and uncomfortable situation and presses his ear to the wall. He umps back almost immediately] Putain! So it has! That is... really alarming. Oh I don't like that at all.

No, it just keeps breathing. Why is it breathing? It's a wall, it doesn't need to convert oxygen to keep itself alive. It's not alive.

I've been in Camelot for the past um... I guess it was a week here? Have the walls been doing this for a long time?
