[Ariadne is kinda freaking out. Just because she thinks architecture can take on a life of its own, she doesn't mean literally . The man poking the wall isn't really helping much either.]

...I think you're making it breath louder.

[frowns at wall, then, careful not to drop his cigarette] You really think so?

Most definitely. All that poking is probably making it nervous.

[walks towards the wall, leaning her ear close to it]

Yep, the breathing definitely got louder.

[with mild disbelief] Seriously?

[approaches wall with the distrust of a cat exposed to a new and uncomfortable situation and presses his ear to the wall. He umps back almost immediately] Putain! So it has! That is... really alarming. Oh I don't like that at all.

[drafting_dreams]

Same. [points to his sword] Um, maybe you should put that away so the wall won't feel threatened?

[shakes her head in disbelief] Wow, can't even believed I just said that. Tell me, is this a normal occurrence at the school?

[le_centre]

[eyes the wall warily] I... suppose so? [plantively] But it doesn't have eyes how can it tell?

[sheathes the sword] No, not at all, and we have had literal zombie invasions. This is a new level of weird. Oh, I'm Courfeyrac by the way. You are?

[drafting_dreams]

[shrugs] Well if it can breath without a mouth, it might as well be able to see without eyes.

[she looks up at him, straining her neck in the process (boy why is she so short). Extends her hand out to him.] Nice to meet you, Courfeyrac. I'm Ariadne.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeech. I have no idea why, but I am utterly creeped out by this.

[takes her hand with a charming smile and shakes it] Enchante, Ariadne! It is a pleasure to meet you, even if the walls are breathing.

[drafting_dreams]

[gives him a bright smile] Though I'm a bit thrown off by all this, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[pauses for a moment] You wouldn't happen to be a teacher, would you?

Sort of- I work for the Endowment Board, which is a name that really needs to change. I'm mostly in charge of fundraising.

Are you a new student?

[drafting_dreams]

[snickers] If you put it that way, a name change would seem necessary.

[sheepishly shakes her head] No, I'm actually got hired as the technical drawing/drafting teacher.

[le_centre]

... what, really?

[instantly apologetic] I am terribly sorry about that. Can you ever forgive me? It was a very stupid assumption to make on my part! I don't suppose I could offer you a drink or something to make amends?

[drafting_dreams]

[reassuringly] No, um it's cool. I get that assumption a lot. Probably because of my height and everything.

[surprised from his proposal] Sure, I guess though you really don't have to make any amends. I'm not offended.

[charming smile] Yes, but it will make me feel better about it! Have you been to Keepsie's yet?

[and because Courfeyrac is the least subtle person ever] Do you have any political opinions?

I haven't actually. Like the school, I'm pretty new to the city as well.
