[Grimmjow paused as he was about to take a bite out of his sandwich. He looked at Ulquiorra for a moment before finally taking a bite. But he said nothing in response to his question.]

[That was probably as close to acknowledgment as he was going to get, and with Grimmjow he didn't have to extend an invitation. He already had agreed to join up. In fact, he had declared he was going to join without receiving a formal invitation.]

Now that I'm not sick, I'm officially starting Tactical Combat Club. I'm going to talk to some of the people in Combat classes...and Ms. Lisa Lisa, the Combat instructor agreed to arrange some fake ambushes for the club.

It has taken you long enough to get this shit started. When is the first meeting?

I'm sure my leadership would have been inspiring as I held a bucket to periodically vomit in.

Next Thursday, as long as there's at least five members in the club by then. It'll probably be indoor paintball to start off.

[Temari looks up from her book, she just couldn't seem to get any time for herself anymore.]

[Sighing, she marked her place in her book with a piece of scrap paper as she closed it]

I suppose.

I'm starting a club called Tactical Combat club. It's open to students with combative powers and/or combat training.

[Ulquiorra's simply standing there with his hands in his pockets rather casually, but he had quite deliberately picked people he thought would have some interest.]

[That definitely got her attention. Setting down the book, she crossed her arms on her lap]

I see...In light of recent events, that's the best idea I've heard yet.

So, when do you want to start?

[Well, that went quite well. Ulquiorra was hardly one to smile, but he nodded a little.]

Soon. I was going to organize a paintball game to start. Something that can be mentioned on the school network, and something to see where everyone's at in terms of tactical understanding.

[Kuruk was just finishing up his workout and training when Ulquiorra spoke to him. He remembered him from combat class.]

Sure, what's up?

[Ulquiorra was making a point of recruiting people with a range of combative abilities. Someone like Kuruk was ideal for midrange attacks, and yet could handle direct physical fights if they came to him.]

I'm starting a new club called Tactical Combat Club. The idea is to prepare us for a wider variety of possible situations at the school and to go a little beyond what we're being taught in Combat class.

You can count me in. Is this suppose to be like some mini X-Men team?

Not quite. The staff are adamant about not training us to be superheroes, and the point of the club isn't to become vigilantes.

It's more like a student defense force, only named Tactical Combat Club.

[Ludwig looked up from the notes he was reading over, then closed his notepad to give Ulquiorra his full attention.]

I suppose. Can I help you?

[One could never go wrong with recruiting a tank or two for a club like this. Ludwig qualified, and after the kidnappings, Ulquiorra thought he might be more open to the prospect of joining.]

I'm starting a club called Tactical Combat Club. It's open to students with combat powers and/or combative training. The purpose of the club is to allow us to be prepared for some of the more unusual situations we might be faced with here.

[Tactics? Preparation? This sounded good to him.]

Judging by recent events, that doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.

[Ulquiorra nods. That was the general idea. He would have started the club earlier, except he got sick for a while and felt it wouldn't exactly be inspiring leadership to be walking around with a bucket in case he felt the need to vomit.]

Ms. Tsunade was the staff sponsor before, but Ms. Lisa Lisa agreed to help, so I'll probably ask her to be the club's official sponsor. We've had too many attacks on the school that we've been underprepared for.

Karrin had been dragged into enough of the fights in and off campus to know that peaceful relations wasn't going to be an option any time soon. She tried not to let it occupy her thoughts too much. After all, weren't the teachers supposed to handle this kind of thing? While she tried to tell herself that it was hard to do since, as previously mentioned, she'd already dragged herself into several fights on and off campus against those who would threaten the students of the school.

She knew one thing, she wasn't going to stand for it. This place was supposed to be a safe haven and while 9 times out of 10 it was, that supposedly "one time" out of 10 was occurring with more and more frequency. She didn't like it.

Karrin looked up from the book she'd been reading at the guy who had just spoke to her, "What's up?"

Where others relied on combative powers, Karrin relied more on skill. Ulquiorra could respect that, and he felt she'd be a good addition to the club if she elected to join.

"I'm starting a new club called Tactical Combat club," he began, hands in his pockets. "It's open to students with either combative powers and/or combat training, and its purpose is to prepare the members for unorthodox scenarios and to encourage the use of tactics."

Karrin knew she wasn't a threat power wise. Her powers were pretty passive, considering all she could do was sense danger and has a minor self-healing ability. However, that was probably why she worked so hard to stay fit in terms of martial arts and her constant work with fire arms.

It didn't surprise her that a club like that was being formed. Karrin looked pensive for a moment. "How official is this club going to be? I can't see it being supported very well by the staff." She kept her face neutral, it was likely she would agree, but she wanted to know upfront how "underground" this club was going to be before getting involved.

"Ms. Tsunade signed staff consent for the club before, and Ms. Lisa Lisa, the Combat instructor had agreed to help with the club a little. It's not going to be advertised through any other means than student to student word of mouth, but in the event that the club is discovered, there has been a small amount of staff support for it. I'll be asking Ms. Lisa Lisa to sign on as the staff sponsor when I get the chance."

Considering that Tsunade had taken her mentor group hunting for bears and gotten away with it on numerous occasions, he felt that as long as there was at least a small amount of staff support, and it was clear that they weren't training to be vigilantes, it should be reasonably possible to maintain the club.

"If you know anyone who might be well suited to the club and who'd know well enough to not talk about it openly, you're welcome to extend an invitation."
