To Catch or Not to Catch [Semi-Open]

Characters: Zell Dincht, Takeshi Yamamoto, semi-open (feel free to come across Zell to chat in the hallway there)
Location: Starting out in the dorm hallway, then going to town
Time: A weekend, sometime after Zell playing in the snow with Waka
Content: The weekend comes along and Zell goes shopping with Yamamoto to get stuff for their rooms.

The door popped open, Yamamoto hopping into a shoe. He was dressed in jeans and a shirt that had long sleeves stitched in but made it look like you wearing layers and a naturally hoodie. He grinned brightly at the sight of his friend, finally getting his foot in his sneaker and quickly lacing it.

"Hey!" he gushed, shutting the door and locking it, tucking the key in his pocket. "Ready to go?"

"Well, even though the current is cold, it helps to insulate us, and we're much closer to the equator than people think," he shrugged. "You can get away with jeans most of the time, but shorts are acceptable except for those few days it drops low enough you would be crazy to walk around in shorts. But then we just wear flip-flops to cancel out the jeans."

He chuckled and watched the snowy scenery roll by, fascinated in a surprisingly childlike way for a seventeen year old boy.

I thought he was 16? :-P

He laughed a little at the flip flop thing but then that just brought some coughing. He turned his head away so he didn't cough on anyone. This of course completely confused him. Why would he cough?

He didn't have to think much on it though because they arrived at their stop shortly after the coughing stopped.

"So, ah..." He looked around before looking at Yama. "Where do we start?"

Well that was a good question wasn't it? The last time he had been here had been to go Christmas shopping for his dad, so he had gone to the Crate & Barrel, and not to much else. He had wandered about with Bee for a bit, but even then hadn't gone to very far. When Kaoru had taken him shopping he'd been dragged through the most expensive stores - which meant he'd be avoiding them.

And they wanted stuff for the rooms anyways, sooo....

"Um, why not start with the movie shops? They should have some posters for the walls," he suggest, pointing to the 'Sunrise Video' box on the map.

"That'll work! Maybe I should pick up a few DVDs too." He started heading down the the walkway trying to remember where it was on the map so he wouldn't get lost on the way. He glanced through the windows but didn't spare them any more than that. If he found something he might be interested in he'd go in the store. As it were, nothing did.

He started to feel a little bit more... odd. It was kind of hard to explain, it was almost like he had walked out into mist. But a warm mist. He looked down at his arms and didn't notice anything different. So he just shook his head and continued on. "What else do ya like?" He asked, as if to ignore the feeling.

"What do you mean?" Yamamoto asked, clearly not seeing anything odd with the other at the moment as they reached the movie store.

He ducked inside, wondering why they thought it necessary to play music so loud it made it hard to think, but by the looks of the people inside it was probably to keep the older crowd away. Bad business practice, he thought, but he wasn't the one running the place.

He made for the back of the store where they kept the posters and other random little items and knickknacks people might buy, flipping through the boxes and searching for either a favorite movie or maybe a cool design. Perhaps thanks to his dad's insistence on observing tradition, he had a thing for more oriental design and movies.

"See anything you like?" he asked, turning to look over at Zell, if the other was still with him at all.
