[knocks on the door and pokes his way in, blinking and looking like a little amused by the note outside]

Can I ask you about self-defense class though?

[ Glances up, then starts searching under other piles of paper for his list. ]

Sure, ask away! You're ... Alto, right?

[blushes at being remembered just after one rather brief conversation over the network]

Y-yes. May I come in?

Of course! That's what the sign on the door says.

[ Continues to dig under files for a second, then glances up and smiles wryly. ]

Sorry for the mess, seems like I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Angela decided to welcome the newest edition of the security team at XI. She brought with her a framed copy of a Renaissance painting she liked, as a welcoming gift.

Letting herself in, Ange knocked on the door frame afterwords and leaned against it. "Fancy seeing you here," she said, a smile in a her eyes. "So clowns, huh?"

John glances up at the sound, then recognizing you smiles a little.

"I know, I'm just as surprised I found my way here. I was attacked by a swarm of paper planes on the way." He starts trying to find some space on his desk to shove the paperwork to, mostly in vain. "I hate those things. Creepy as hell."

"Paper planes, well this is a high school. You're lucky they weren't flying on their own or something." Ange said stepping into the office.

"Brought you something. An office warming gift, you can call it." Angela displayed the print and handed it over to him. "So how is the move and thing?"

"Oh, thanks --" He gets up and glances round the office. If he had a little more space, it'd probably look nice. The boxes and piles of paper work are sort of taking over. "Well, it's... getting there." He takes the print and studies it for a second. "Would probably be going a little faster if my piles of paper work didn't appear to breed." He glances back up and raises an eyebrow. "Think I could dispose of them and blame it on a student?"

Bed? What's bed? *Totally going to bed now.* 2ndlt_jeanhavoc March 14 2010, 12:05:51 UTC
Well now was as good as any time to meet the boss, or so figured Jean. He would have had to eventually. Just visiting Roy and slipping out un-noticed to do his rounds just because he was nervous in a new job didn't give any man an excuse.

A light knock on the door, no more resounding than its nervous maker could bring himself to do, then Jean was peeking through the door, "Mr. Sheppard?"

He glances up from his paperwork mountain and smiles awkwardly.

"John's fine, really." He shuffles some space on his desk, glances across at his laptop, then back up -- "You know, the sign on the door does say people can come in."

Jean made a mental note not to use Mister Sheppard ever again with a smile like that before the intro. He cleared his throat when he realized that he was still hiding behind the door, "Ah.. Just... never know when a sign doesn't read what a person has in mind."

He stepped through, leaving the door ajar as it was previously and then strode up, offering his hand, "Jean Havoc, just got here not too long ago and was assigned t'this fine area of job description."

"Oh, right -- crap--" He stands up from behind his desk and shakes your hand. "Sorry, I've been a little... swamped, as you can probably see. Kinda new myself, and this place is a little different to what I'm used to."
