"U-Um. Ma'am? Am I disturbing you? I can leave if you like." Hinata's hand reached up to wrap around her dragon pendant like a good luck charm. Temeraire had been lovely to her, but would this dragon be the same?
"I just find dragons so beautiful. I would so like to see you up close."

"Oh, not in the least," she replied, pleasantly enough. "It often grows dull down here; I appreciate visitors. What is your name, girl?" Her turn of phrase was not so much intentionally disparaging as casually superior - not that this really excused it.

"Hinata..." Hinata barely noticed the way Lien saw herself as superior. In many ways Hinata agreed so it suited her fine, "I've never seen a dragon quite like you. It's very striking."

[one of the dragons anyway, according to the magician. One's enough, he thinks; she's actually pretty damn impressive, not that his face really...shows it]
[Kurogane kind of surveys her, then...glances down at the dragon-shaped hilt of his sword, Ginryu. Glances at her again. Glances at the sword. Slides it in its sheath out of his belt and holds it up for comparison]

[.. and then swings her massive dragon head round to peer at him and his sword. Not really close to him or anything, but ... it's a pretty massive head. Imagine one big scaly brow raised in an unimpressed sort of way, despite the improbability of a race of giant alien space dragons evolving the same facial expressions as people.]

She picked big places. Easy to miss them, to wander and avoid them. If they showed up, well, she'd just find her own direction to walk in. But the place was large. She made use of what she had.
The place below was large. And it had that one, down there. Big, sparkling, impressive and unknown. New ones would likely be scared off by size, intimidation, mystery. She wouldn't. It was interesting. Big, but interesting. She would peek in from time to time, just because. You could never be sure what was going to happen next with something like a dragon.

Lien was not altogether sure what to make of Madotsuki, and she did not much like it. She had been told by some of the others that the girl was ... troubled, but the word Lien would have preferred to use was troublesome. She did not particularly appreciate being stared at by people lurking at the entrance like that ... especially on a vessel like this, where each individual aboard possessed uncanny abilities that made them far more unpredictable than the ones on her own planet.
That said, Lien was hardly intimidated by them. Lien had never really been intimidated by anything in her life, and she was not about to start now.
"You ought to enter, girl. It is rude to loiter without permission, and quite unseemly besides."

Instead she watched it, quite unmoving but curious. It was very big and glittery, quite pretty to be honest. Lots of sparkling and whatnot. Maybe it was some sort of queen-dragon. Did dragons have queens?
There was a few moments of considering this, looking over the massive pearly creature from afar, before she decided to offer the question aloud, in a hushed voice. "Can't decide. Are you a queen or something? Dragon-royalty, whatever it is."
