[Toph, usually the donut queen around here. While on her way to the staff room she picks up on the smell immediately. Curious as to who this wonderful benefactor could be, she follows her nose to the staff room and walks in]

Who brought donuts? And you better be sharing because you can't bring donuts to the staff room if you didn't bring enough to share.

[Lara turns to the new voice, amusement in her voice, as she sets the bag of donuts down on the counter]

I brought a couple dozen. They were fresh.

Well that's the best kind. [makes her way across the room like she owns the place and starts riffling through the bag, yeah, she doesn't care if it was just set down. She's polite enough to just take one...for now]

Usually I'm the provider of donuts. Nice to know I'm not the only one willing to buy.

[snags one of the donuts after Toph does] You're certainly not. I'm glad to do it; teachers need a break as much as the students do.

[pause for bite of fresh cake donut. Mmm] I'm Lara.

[Hey, European plugs do not work in American sockets. Good move forgetting that Courfeyrac. The espresso machine is now broken beyond repair. Looks like its vending machine coffee for now on. Ooh, are those donuts?]

Ooh, yes they are. Ah, Lara! Good things always seem to happen when I run into you. [charmingest smile]

[smiles back, and gives Courfeyrac a kiss on the cheek. Why not, it's the staff room, not the school cafeteria... oh wait, that didn't stop her before]

I could say the same, love. We should run into each other more often.

[returns the kiss on the cheek] I shall have to make a point of it then. I quite enjoyed out last encounter.

[why no she isn't undressing him with her eyes*] As did I.

[licks a drop of icing from the donuts off her finger] What brings you to the staff room today? Hiding from the form letters?

[For once, Xigbar's actually awake tolerably early. And really, he's never been one to turn down free food, so once he sees he spots the donuts his stopping on in is a foregone conclusion, really.]

Oh, hey there, Lara. [smiles at her, just on his way into the staff room with a stack of papers in his hands] That sure is a lot of donuts; I hope they're for sharing.

[smiles at Steve and waves to the bag of donuts in invitation] I always share.

[Don't mind Kaito. He was just lured by the aroma of the donuts. Now he's there helping himself to one]

[was on her way out, but stops upon seeing a familiar face] Kaito! How's the chaperon recruiting going?

[Stops before taking a bite and looks over to her]

I haven't started looking for any others yet. Do you know anyone that wants to be one?
