[ pepper is already on the ice, for once in jeans and warm sweater, skating in lazy circles near to one of the little entrances/exits to the rink. feel free to ask her for some help if you're an uneasy skater, she'll gladly hold a hand or skate backwards and keep an eye on you. :) her talents of skating are mostly limited to just being able to skate around at a pleasant pace and not land on her arse immediately. ]

This was a brilliant idea, Pepper! I admire your organizational skills. How on earth did you mange all this? [sweeping gesture at students, teachers and ice rink]

[ ... the obvious enthusiasm makes pepper laugh, and she smiles brightly at courfeyrac, continuing her circles of movement. ]

Organising this is a walk in the park after all the things I've had to organise for the company. [ her expression turns a little deviously amused. ] That and it's easy to get things done if you mention that you work for Tony Stark and offer the right price.

[ atlee is. staring somewhat dubiously at the ice, holding onto her hired skates rather tightly. she has never been ice-skating before, since her experience is limited to dealing with the ground and rocks but not so much ice. ]

[Chris just strooooolls on over. As much as you can stroll in ice skates. All prepped to go out on the ice when he spots Atlee, and promptly backtracks to her with a grin, gesturing to her skates]

You alright there?

[ atlee is momentarily surprised at being addressed, but nods, though her eyes keep trailing back to the ice. ]

Oh, I'm fine, I've just never been skating before.

Ahh, what? But it's well fun. You'll fuckin' love it, I swear.

[feltnothing]

[Maxxie's doing circles, trying to get his skating legs back (it's been a while). He looks fairly comfortable, and in a while he'll probably be brushing by people, successfully endangering his own bodily health as well as everyone else's.]

[ Kitty's already on the go, moving throughout the rink excitedly. She does slow down as she passes Maxxie, though. ]

Just circles, hm?

[He grins at her.]

Just warmin' up.

It takes some getting used to when you're out of practice, doesn't it?

[Is kind of just. Walking around. Keeping an eye out for anyone OFF THE ICE who looks like they're about to die or something. And sipping his coffee all thoughtfully-like]

[Stops rather gracefully on the other side of the boards near Terry, grinning.]

[Turns mid-step to look at Maxxie. Why on earth would he go out on the ice ever.]

I think it's probably better if I don't.

Come on, you don't know what you're missing.

[Yeah Claire is not...the greatest of skaters, apparently. But she's good enough that she can get around the rink without falling down or crashing into anything, which is good enough.

Even if she has to grab onto the walls from time to time. Don't make fun, she comes from Texas 8(]

[Tommy on the otherhand is a pretty decent skater. He's certainly the fastest one on the ice at the moment, only really slowing down when he has to turn a corner (straight lines are fine but aaa corners). He's cocky about the fact that he doesn't need to hold onto the sides and hasn't fallen over yet, and it's pretty obvious.]

[he skates past Claire, knocking her slightly--completely by accident--then glances behind him to make sure she didn't fall over or anything, without stopping]

[Claire cranes her neck to see who it was, noticing only a green blur and rolling her eyes. Tommy. Except that she's distracted for that moment and doesn't look where she's going and manages to skate

...Directly into a wall]

[he can't help but snort a little with laughter, and then does a quick lap of the rink and lets himself slow down just before getting to Claire, still grinning with amusement.]
