After a long day of classes, nothing felt better to Virgil than to sit back and let his mind turn to mush. True, his Pops probably would have been mad at him for putting video games before homework, but come on, he'd just gotten out of classes. Surely this called for a mental break.
Virgil tossed his bag into the corner of one of the rec rooms and made his way over to the entertainment center. There were a few consoles set up for anyone to play with, and Virgil was feeling in the mood for something simple and classic. He hooked up the N-64 and dug in a box for the game he had in mind. True, he could play it on the Wii, but sometimes it was fun to go back to older models.
"Ah-hah, I knew you had to be in there somewhere," Virgil muttered, plucking from the box a gray cartridge. He pushed it into the game console and turned it on. He had some extra remotes set out, just in case anyone wanted to join, but for now, he wouldn't mind playing a few solo laps of Mario Kart.
