WHY did I put my address on that?

I put my address on the PSAT (annoying standardized test) so that I'd get a few college letters right?
Well I'm totally getting spammed lol.
I swear the stack of letters is getting bigger and bigger by the day. Not to mention my mom's email is also getting completely spammed with college emails.. (she was so mad that I put her email instead of mine ( Read more... )

I remember my friends' piles of letters from that. That's why I was super-sure to check "no".

But now you get to pick your favorite brochure for some tiny school in the middle of nowhere!

Ah hah hah, I remember the college mail spam after I took the psat too (it filled a couple packing boxes). A friend and I joked that we were gonna build a house out of our combined college mail. In the end we ended up recycling/burning most of it, which was fun. But you should pay attention to at least some of that stuff if your college priorities aren't 'where I'm going = cheapest.' Find programs that interest you if you already know what you want to do, since even if a college might not be OMG IVY LEAGUE, it might have one of the best programs in the world for That Specific Thing You Find Completely Interesting.

And congrats on your test!

Oh! And another thing: when they have your address and scores, sometimes they waive your application fee (which basically means you've got guaranteed admission). I don't think they do that if they don't get your info from collegeboard. Sometimes they might notify you of scholarships and stuff too.

The sad think is.. I have no idea of what I want to do orz.
I totally understand though, about that a smaller school may have a great program for what I may be pursuing.
I'll probably end up recycling most of it too, that is after I fill up a few packing boxes xD

XD ah yes, the endless flow of college letters... I got too many from ASU than I would've liked.
>>+ (I know it's weird, since it's the closest uni to me, but I cannot stand the thought of going to ASU - AT ALL)

At least that test wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. ^^

Haha, yea :)
I'm guessing ASU is Arizona State? (I totally remember what state you live in, in a non-creeperish way lol)
Yea, I'm getting a bunch of letters from Florida colleges that I would NEVER go to lol >.<
University of Miami- I think not

Yeah, it's Arizona State. -A-; that school is just... apparently, at one time it was a good institution. Just not now.

Must be an in-state thing - people getting a bunch of letters from colleges in their home state.
