Sheriff I have posted Richard's bail and hope he can be released as soon as possible. I will take full responsibility for him and he will be living at the Church. An incident like the last will not occur again

I trust what I hear and the evidence presented to me Father. Miss Ataraxy was sorely hurt when I saw her, terrified, and I've already seen Mr. Applegates actions.

I'm happy enough to provide you with bail here, but I don't need you to telling me about bias. I've seen it at work before. True enough, but with him fireing on me when I went to talk to him after I got his attention, and knowing he threatened Mr. Luxenburg, I wasn't about to take chances.

Father as long as you keep him on a leash I won't bother with you. But if he so much as looks funny at anyone in this town, he's going back into the jail. Do I make myself perfectly clear.

Looking at people is no reason to put someone away, with this bail he is cleared of his charges. Please treat him with some respect, anti-social behaviour that causes no harm is no reason for imprisonment, please remember some of us here do know the law. If you begin to act so impulsively it can lead down a slippery slope.

I respect you as a Sheriff in all but your treatment of Richard, this man is ill and you treat him like an animal.

Father he tried to beat a young woman, kill her even. He's threatened Professor Luxenburg for no reason. Scared several men in the saloon, lord knows whatelse. I'm not going to handle him with kid gloves.

He may be ill, but that doesn't mean he has the right to harm others. Especially if he's sick like that, then he needs treatment, you would agree correct? He treats others with distane and it seems that he doesn't listen to anyone, save you Father. Why is that?

He wasn't going to kill the young lady and he didn't beat her. I was there Sheriff.

He needs special concideration as he is ill, just like my niece.
