SECONDED FOR HARRY POTTER. YOU HURT ME, HARRY. YOU HURT ME BAD WITH THOSE LAST TWO BOOKS. JK ROWLING, YOU MAY HAVE MORE MONEY THAN THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND, BUT THAT WAS LAZY CHARACTER WRITING AND YOU KNOW IT!
*WEEPS QUIETLY, THE PAIN STILL FRESH IN HER HEART*
I KNOW THE WRITING WAS SO BAD AND I FELT LIKE IT JUST STARTED SPIRALING DOWNHILL NEAR THE END OF THE 6TH BOOK AND HONESTLY I DIDN'T LIKE THE 5TH ONE THAT MUCH EITHER AND THE 7TH WAS A LOAD OF CRAP AND I PREFER FANFICTION TO THE REAL THING NOW (EXCEPT FOR BOOK ONE BECAUSE THAT IS MY FAVORITE WHICH IS CRAZY BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE LIKE LATER BOOKS BETTER) AND WHY THE FUCK DID FRED NEED TO DIE D: AND PS THE MOVIES SUCK.
Epic word on Glee!! My gay husband loooooves it, because he is such a sucker for shows about high school, and keeps trying to make me watch it and, just no.
Tell me more about this tawdry summer of Death Note.
I just can't get into Glee. I've watched most of the first season and some more recent episodes and the two just don't match up-it's almost so over-the-top now. It's just not for me, and that is okay!
So I discovered Death Note the May of my final exams in high school and I didn't study for anything. Instead, I spent the night before my calculus final reading Death Note and then when I finished I reread everything the next day. And the next. And the next. AND THEN I DISCOVERED FANFICTION. And it was on like donkey kong.
I know! I can see Light & L in a relationship, due to some authors' take on it, but the mushy-gushy crap is just crap. It's DEATH NOTE. What about 'death' are those writers not getting? It's easy to write crack for Hetalia because it's a pure comedy, but Death Note is pretty damn badass.
I study now! xD (I actually got some work done today because I am awesome.)
I don't understand why people like Glee, either! Of course, I was an actual theatre/choir kid in high school, and all these high school musical type things are just so horribly inaccurate. And most of their music makes my ears bleed. (The choral arrangements are so bad. So bad.)
And Kyou Kara Maou, just stop being such a whore. I know you're basically just a dating sim, but seriously...
Oh my, I can only imagine dealing with Glee after doing the real thing. Just the thought makes me cringe. You poor thing, you.
KKM is such a whore!!! Great word choice there. The first season was cute and then it spiraled into something I don't even know how to describe. Wolfram was my favorite because he was so damn persistent. Gotta love it.
I've stolen this meme, if that's OK XD And I agree, Harry Potter's ending was rather stupid. The softy in me likes it for being a happy one, but it is pretty stupid to be honest. It reads like a fanfiction.
It does read like a corny fanfiction. So. Bad. I hate that epilogue. I'd rip it out, but what if a future reader wants to read it? That wouldn't be nice of me, so it stays.
I heard somewhere that apparently J.K Rowling wrote several conclusions for the final book, a number of which killed Harry off, but in the end she couldn't bear to kill Harry. If Harry *had* died we could have at least taken the ending seriously.
If Harry had died I probably would have cried. xD He had such a sucky life, and I like the fact that if you ignore the epilogue you can play with his future. :)
Oh man, how did I never see this? My journal-stalking skills are crap. D:
So holy crap, Sweden <3 *swoons*
Also, totally agree with you on Glee. It seemed pretty cool from the few episodes I watched, but I just never really could be bothered to get into it.
Also agreed that Hetalia is all-consuming! Part of the reason why my friends never managed to get me into My Little Pony. Conversations go something like this: "Hey, have you watched more MLP yet?" "Nope, Hetalia fanfic-ing." "You should watch more!" "Once I'm done fanfic-ing." (which is never >.>)
And Harry Potter. I hate how he was paired with Ginny. Or no, I don't hate that he was paired with Ginny so much as that the relationship suffered from some seriously hasty and badly-written development. It's like, one moment Ginny is an afterthought, the next she's suddenly a pretty and powerful witch who Harry is in love with? UGH.
THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH HETALIA FANFIC. *sparkling-ness* NEVER. <3<3
ISN'T SWEDEN A SEXY BEAST?! He's such a beast. I've never been so enchanted with a fictional character. xD
I like Ginny, and I like Harry. But I feel like their relationship was just a way for Harry to "officially" become a part of the Weasley family. I've seen it written really well, but I've also read some just horrible crap. So IDK, the jury's still out on my final call. I like Fred and George, but I'm not so big into twincest which makes their fanfics kind of risky. It's easier with Hetalia, because they're just countries. I can't do N. Italy x S. Italy but other than that, they're all different in my head so IDK.
SWEDEN IS INDEED A SEXY BEAST <3 The last time I was so obsessed with a fictional character was when I fell in love with Avatar because Zuko was freakin' hot. (But that was really just a passing crush compared to Sweden and Hetalia!)
Heh, ever since I dove into the fandom pit, it's amazing how quickly I've gotten desensitized to things that squick me. Incest has always been a squick for me, but I hardly even bat an eyelid when I see it nowadays. I still avoid reading it though, and it makes me feel rather conflicted about USUK. I mean, on the one hand there's the "special relationship" but on the other hand England kind of raised America, but on the other hand there's some really really good USUK fic out there and asdflk;j;;
No, I feel the same way. USUK is EVERYWHERE. I just can't see the UK as the bottom. I can't. It's the fucking British Empire. He can't bottom, I don't know. America is such an absolute ditz when it comes to sex. I really don't think he should be allowed to top. xD
But the one thing I will absolutely not read is the shota stuff. Little!America colony and the UK or something like that is just NO. Once America's older it's fine.

Well, since you seem to be firmly ensconced at an institution of higher learning it would appear that all that not studying hasn't been an issue. XD

And Gunther. Because he was hilarious.

I always thought Yuuri was kind of a stupid head for never breaking the engagement or doing anything at all. And Wolfram's nightie was the best.
