[Daine is holding onto books of her own, most of them about animals. She spots your strange symbols on the table and stops to look for a bit. She's nosy enough that she has to ask.]

Alchemy. Even if I can't do it right now, I can still practice drawing arrays.

Is that not usually used to concoct tinctures and the like?

These look more like the runes Me-...er...a friend of mine used to use.

Tinctures? [the word sounds vaguely familiar, something about medical alchemy...]

They are runes. Alchemists use them to control the flow of energy for transmutations.

'm not really studying anything. Just reviewing some of the alchemy I know from back home.
