HORIZONTAL tongue folding?! Girl, you should've gotten into wind instruments.
I don't think there's anything I ever wanted to ask/wonder. I'm usually an ask-immediately-of-I'll-forget-the-question type of girl. Um... top 3 bucket list items.
I played flute for a couple years. Never stuck for some reason. Piano worked better...even if I'm only still passable at it.
Oooooh. Bucket list items. 1) Become fluent in french. I speak it fairly well, but not anywhere near as well as I'd like to. My grammar can be atrocious. 2) While discussing music, figure out my MF guitar. I love it, and I'm trying to learn it. 3) Go spend some time in Europe. I've been, but it was a two week, whirlwind kind of thing. I'd like to spend more time working my way from Paris down the Rivera into Venice.
I have a bunch of other odd/ridiculous/never-really-gonna-happen things, but those can be blamed squarely on Red.
well golly i guess i might as well reply to this??
hi, i'm sisky. i think i found you through mutual interests? i'm a jason todd fan, i like to write and doodle and talk about shipping and characterization. nice to meet you!/introduce myself, i suppose. apologies if this is a bit awkward or unexpected. gosh, fun things about me. i knit? i like cats? i can touch my tongue to my nose?? i'm not reading anything, exactly, but i'm working on my dcu big bang story, and to do that i'm doing a bit of research in canon comics--red robin and batman & robin from before the reboot, among other things. the answer to the ultimate question is...probs butts. assuming you're still into comics (i haven't had you on my flist for very long), what are some of your favorite stories/runs/etc.?
Hi Sisky! New friends are always yay, especially those who can touch tongues to noses. Bonus if it's their own nose.
OH RED ROBIN HOW I MISS IT LIKE BURNING.
Favourite stories: X-tinction Agenda just because it was the very first arc I read as a baby fan. Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run is AMAZEBALLS and satisfying in ways I didn't know comicbook arcs could be although I think Marjorie M Liu's run on the same title looks just as rad. Peter DAvid's X-Factor run rarely misses a step. Busiek & Immonen's Superman: Secret Identity is THE MOST PERFECT Superman story EVER & convinced me to give DC a try. Bendis' Alias is the most perfect non-superhero superhero comic book. Waid & Yu's Superman: Birthright is the standard by which I measure all "canon" Superclan stories. And, of course, Tiny Titans. (aww yeah)
Agree with your comments on RED ROBIN. Every. Single. Issue was in media res & sometimes, I'd have to re-read the previous issue to remember salient points. That said, TIM. Also TAM.
I really want to collect more of Cass!Batgirl & Steph!Batgirl. I love BOP any time Simone gets her sticky hands on them. The Batgirls rock. Ooooh, and Secret Six. I need all of Secret Six. And Gotham Central.
