normally every month and half to 2 months we get news that someone who was in our detox, has died of their addictions. (this not counting suicides, which many also). anyways this man was with us about 5 days ago and left ama (against medical advice). he was an alcoholic who mixed opiates (painkiller opiates not herion) to get drunk quicker. anyways

actually i have started doing the pyschosocial forms... i have always done them but now i am doing the whole things with the patients which is what the counclers on the floor do. so im having a lot of fun doing them. and barbara who is our drug councler on the floor now wants me to go to school for it too. so i think i am probably gonna go for it cause i like it a lot. its kinda a depressing job but i love doing it. i cant explain why i like talking to the patients and what not it just intrests me. i like talking to them and helping some patients who dont know what their triggers to relaspe are discover what they are. and helping them understand their addictions better. i dont like seeing people fail or anything or needing help. but i like helping them. and i understand that most people will never sober and a lot will die. but its worth it for the ones that do make it... so i will keep yah posted if i go to school for it. dr. peter talked to me the other day to go for it again. cause he thinks im excellent. i know i am good at it
