Yes, that was me in the swirly black and red cloak on the dancefloor at wincon looking like a goth dork! What can I say - if you can't wear a cape to a fangirl con, where can you wear one? ;D

Thanks SO much to all the amazing fangirls who welcomed a lost-looking newbie and made me feel accepted in my fannishness!

Oh my gosh, thank you for being so friendly and fun. It was my first Wincon too and I was nervous, but I had a great time. Especially dancing!

Also: I was just skimming over your LJ and noticed Yaz in the soundtrack. HOW DID THIS NOT COME UP IN CONVERSATION. And, next year the dance soundtrack NEEDS to include Depeche Mode's remix of Route 66. :D

I am ALL about the 80's New Wave, especially the dance-y stuff! If it had a video on MTV between '81 and '85, I've got it somewhere. I was wishing at Wincon that they would play some of the less kitschy stuff. But I did ask her to play some early 'Mode, and she did, so that was sweet!

The remix with Behind the Wheel? Hell to the yes! XD XD XD

Any Yaz. Any Depeche Mode. Any early INXS (The One Thing, Don't Change). Early New Order (Substance!). And possibly the Communard's cover of Never Can Say Goodbye should be in there somewhere. What are your feelings on Erasure?
