Ok, so a few of you via livejournal and yahoo had positive feedback on the cooking show sort of idea thing. Um, I've actually created a youtube account already called "apartmentcook", so feel free to add it, but I will embed the videos on livejournal when I make them as well. Nothing is up yet strictly to be being wicked sick and trying to find out ( Read more... )

Hey! :D

In terms of cameras, a decent 35mm film camera for under a hundred dollars can probably be found at Ritz Photography in Fresno. They're in the phone book but under a hundred dollars doesn't really open many options.

Oh, and other that editing vids with windows movie maker,(bleh) I think you have to buy a program. But Movie Maker does the simple stuff pretty well.

I found a bunch on ebay, but they are film cameras. So I'm debating on buying a crapload of film to do that, or if it would just be smarter to go digital?

Ebay is a best bet for film cameras under $100. I've seen Canon Rebel bodies on there for $35. I don't think there's any digital SLRs (unless they are older models or heavily used) available for under $500. Film actually isn't that bad price-wise. Are you shooting black and white or color? Boots Camera gives student discounts, so you can get a roll 400TriX (black and white) for less than $3. Also, if you are shooting black and white (unless you are developing it yourself) you have to go to Fresno to get it processed. Photech is good, they're pretty fast and will give you disks and contact sheets if you want. There's another place that will do it, but I can't think of the name. Walmart, Walgreen's and other places of the like will ruin the film trying to process it ( ... )
