Ignorance truly is bliss.  I miss ignorance.

I didn't have a clue why God had me in Seminary when I started.  I was just along for the ride, loving the deep conversations with others and the wonder that kept coming as I studied.  Then last summer, I started getting a clue.  God is being gentle with me though, even though my reactions are anything ( Read more... )

I haven't been on livejournal in a very long time, and the only reason I'm on here now is to comment to your update.
I was sucked in.
Having faith is such a funny thing because it's not just about the big, life changing decisions, it's about the little, every day things too. It sounds like for you, those might be colliding. Big life changing decision must me spoken about and thought about on a normal, daily level.

You nailed a huge part of it. Big unimaginable stuff colliding with everyday normal. At the same time, I make my own mountains out of mole hills... so perhaps I need to mellow out a bit too. *grin* Thanx for the encouragement friend.

...my surprise face. *grin*

I've been thinking this is where it might be leading you since- oh, about 1996 or thereabouts. Good for you for wrestling with it and putting it on the table. Remember, just because you have to be willing to put it on the altar doesn't necessarily mean you'll have to follow through with it (ref. Abraham & Isaac, for example)but you do have to surrender it all to His plan.

*sigh* Wish it was easier, though, and that I could submit to Him more in more in my own life. Not my best skill, by any means.

Miss you guys so much lately. Dedicating Sasha July 4th, if you guys win the lotto/have nothing better to do that weekend...
