Things have gotten a little worse for me lately. The company I work, or should say worked, for ran into some legal issues and laid off 95% of its staff. I was literally the last to go. My supervisor thought cuts were done and the heads came back and told her to cut more. She only cut two more people, me being one of them, because the place wouldn't ( Read more... )

There you go. Never hold back on your dreams because of one person. You're still young, you have your whole life to find the right person and if Shaun is the right person, he will wait. You're not 50 yet, neither is he. Unfortunately, there isn't time to give up on your dreams; it will become harder to pursue them as you get older. One could argue that the same thing can be said about finding relationships, but I believe in the phrase "Love knows no age." (Unless of course we're talkin' about a minor with a 34 year old, which obviously isn't the case!)

Doing customer service work is really one tough job. I worked in one for four years. The stress got to me so bad that people who saw me and my mom at the mall (sales people, clerks) thought we were brother and sister. :)

This is just me but try getting a job you love to do or at the very least like to do. At least even if it becomes stressful, it won't get to you since you like what you're doing. I'm in one right now :)
