Slitheries and genetics

Last week, starting Wednesday night (Thursday morning? I can't remember for sure) the first clutch of eggs started hatching. They belong to Myst and Lokni. We got 9 normals and 2 black and whites. Myst is black and white, and apparently, Lokni has a recessive gene for it too. So, I've narrowed both of their genes down a bit. They finished hatching ( Read more... )

OOOH some of them are Myst's babies? Hahaha. I ALMOST feel like I've been a part of helping, since I did have to take care of her (oh and Pyro of course) for...wow, a while, I think several months? Either way, eeee snakies!

Well, I was doing all the calculations there...but the snakes are safely in the care of a friend back in So Cal. :D Now I'm in Boston *dances*
