a'ight, kids. It's that time again. Renfest runs from yesterday to October 22.

Adam and I went yesterday, and didn't die of heat exhaustion, and I hadn't made new garb. I re-dyed my skirt black on Friday evening, because of an Unfortunate Incident in which I sortof bleached patches of it and it looked awful, so now it's a nice dark black again, but

we are all troupies. it's like having once been goth; it never quite leaves you.

if i thought you'd have time, i'd ask you to make me a skirt, maybe burgundy or blue, since the only ones i have are black and i don't have access to a sewing machine right now. you probably don't, but i'd pay you if you did... :)
(what i really have to do is figure out how to grommet-punch my green corduroy bodice. i do not know where one finds a grommet punch, so i may wind up wearing the bodice with safety-pin lace holes again, much as i hate to.

I have a grommit punching tool. It's just the hand-held kind -- bought it at Jo-Ann's or G-street or wherever -- but I do have one. And -that- would be an easy favor, if we can just coordinate a time.

heh... yes, if we meet up in the parking lot as a rendezvous point, which seems unlikely given my powers of timeliness. I'd plan to wear the other bodice or to do the safety-pin thing, and then it's extra cool if you get lucky.

I will, if you let me know what my part of last month's utilites is so I can write you a check before Sept 1 and have a clean conscience. ;)

I can be compensated with cider at faire, perhaps?

hmm. well, how about i go this weekend without, see if there are any pieces there i want to invest in, and then can make a more educated/color-coordinated request? that way you can get the other stuff done without stress. (ha, ha)

speaking of which, i don't suppose it'd be possible to hitch a ride?

Yeeess... still don't know what I"ll do with it all, but I'm sure I can think of something.

And that also serves to remind me that I should pick up the wool and sateen that I promised to turn into a cloak for you, if that still needs doing. :)

It still needs doing, and I have a bit more fabric for you... this time a nice teal blue, same velour looking pile, but on some type of streatchy fabric.
