Dredd is not only not shitty, but actually awesome (no spoilers)

So mithras03 and I went to see Dredd on the Sunday. We were prepared for something that was hopefully shitmazing, but we were quite surprised to discover that Dredd was actually a genuinely solid action-SF film. The action was great, the pacing was extremely solid, and the acting was even all-around excellent.

Even if it's not up to Karl Urban's performance in Priest or, really, anything outside of Lord of the Rings (and this one NZ movie I saw that he did between buying houses with his LotR money).

Karl Urban's chin did very well in this movie. I would pay money to see his chin and Vampire Cowboy Conductor fight.
