Well, the original is about debilitating shyness that prevents one from getting anything they want (often connected to the Manchester Gay scene)and this is about a kick ass woman kicking ass in Tight leather.

The video, at least, misses the original emphasis.(although the guitar kicks almost as much ass as the lady)

I'd never heard of that version before! I think, given how hard it is to make a decent pop video out of someone feeling awkward and lonely in a club, and given what they came up with instead, the lack of any relevance whatsoever to the song can readily be forgiven.

I think the reason why you may find it easy to forgive has much to do with the fact that she puts shiny flashing things in her leather-encased breasts.
