You were such a pleasure to work with hon! Thanks for making my first big bang a wonderful experience.

laurie_ky commented on my post about adding a seperate link to the video on the master one. That's quite a cool idea, don't ya think? Here's the link for YouTube: http://youtu.be/bret_36DXU4

Wow, that was very good. Imaginative and interesting and kept me going all the way through. I especially liked how Jim found coping mechanisms to help him survive, even if some of them were accidentally discovered, like Amiga. I'm a dog person,so perhaps I'm prejudiced, but there's no denying about the synergistic effects between dogs and humans. I've always felt that if Jim had never met Blair, he wouldn't simply curl up in a zone and die--he'd find a way to continue, in whatever capacity. So great take on that.

I also liked that they didn't have any angst over being attracted to each other. Refreshing. Thanks for the enjoyable read.

The artwork really enhanced the story. The vid was terrific! Great scenes. It makes me want to go back and watch some TS! You two made a great team.

First, thank you so much for such amazing feedback.

As to the specifics...I am a dog person as well. In fact, I have a mobility service dog (see icon). He's not the inspiration for Amiga physically, but what he's capable of certainly helped drive what I wanted to do with the story.

I think Jim, as a character, is presented as such a strong person on so many levels, that even if he wanted to give up, he wouldn't be able to let himself, if that makes sense,

As for the attraction angst, well, I thought about it, but then I decided I see a lot of it, so I want to go in another direction. Well, that and the sequel will have a LOT of angst in some other areas so I was trying to be nice to the boys for now.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. I'm a newbie in this fandom (though I have no idea why I waited so long to jump in) so I'm pleased I came up with something well received.

Thanks for the lovely comments! The dog was what attracted me the storyline in the first place and Josie did an amazing job incorporating all the right scenes/details, it was very smooth and great read.

Really nice story, with a light touch on the sentinel/guide bonding, especially with Blair's empathy and how Jim's connection to him shields Blair from the worst input from other people.

You made Amiga such a solid part of Jim's life, and I was glad he was able to find something worthwhile to do with his life, when he left the PD.

Blair's POV voice was wry and if anything I got the impression he downplayed his upbringing but the reader learns enough about his background to read between the lines. He is a tough little squirt.

Oh, hypothermia scenes. I am so very fond of you. This story's didn't disappoint.

The art was great, and Iloved the video.

I'm grinning like an idiot at my screen right now. Thanks so much for the feedback.

It pleases me to no end to know that I managed to convey the proper things while trying for the lighter touch, more implication than obvious.

And, yeah, as you may have guessed, I have an affection for hypothermia scenes myself. I had to indulge just a little.

So glad you liked the story!

Don't you just love that getting naked is recommended to stop a bad case of hypothermia. Or *cough* you could certainly make a case that it's a good idea to snuggle up to prevent hypothermia.

In short: Yay, hypothermia \o/

Did my comment clone itself? I'm kind of afraid to delete it, in case it's only doubled up when I look at it. LJ was acting funny earlier and I did have a hard time getting it to accept teh comment, but I originally tried to put it at the end of Part Four.

I'll figure this out tomorrow.

ooh, lovely story, well done! I like the AU idea of having the Major Crimes folks involved in search and rescue. That was a good setup for Jim and Blair to get together. And I liked the way you presented Blair's being empathic and the problems it was causing him - that seemed very realistic.

I hope you're going to write more on this - I would really like to see what Blair knows about Jim's senses!

Thanks so much for the feedback, especially with specifics. I thought I had answered, but I guess not.

I have several fanfic pieces in my head right now, but the sequel to this one is the most demanding, so it is the one I am fighting to outline right now.

As it stands now, the next story not only get into what Blair knows about the senses, but also the realities of an empathic connection between drastically different people, no matter how much they like each other.

And the plan is to start drafting around the first of March (once my wife is through finals)...so cross your fingers!
