☩Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes☩

For the first time, Morgana is slightly later than she would like delivering her offering to her patron.  She thinks she has just made it on time, but is not entirely certain.  Although the offering in question is not only made by her own hands (anyone who witnessed her doing so, may have found some amusement) but also she met someone she hopes ( Read more... )

The chill of the wind meant nothing to Drusilla - she was already dead and cold, after all - but the question was an interesting. She'd have answered it even if Morgana hadn't been the one doing the asking.

"I like hanging up my stocking and waiting for my gifts," she said, "Coal for the bad boys and girls and sweets for the good ones."

She wondered, without whispering it, what Morgana would get.

The voice recognition is instant, and Morgana greets her new companion with two things: outstretched hands, and a genuine smile, which quickly turns a little quizzical.

"Drusilla, it is lovely to see you but I do not understand. Why would you hang a stocking, other than to dry?"

For the first time, Drusilla didn't take Morgana's hands without giving the action a second thought. In fact, she found herself thinking of a lot of things. The softness of her skin and the warmth of her flesh and the fact that they were genuinely - genuinely and truly and really - friends. She liked Morgana. She liked the way Morgana treated her. Kindness and affection instead of fear or malice.

It was wrong. It was all wrong. But it tugged at a part of her that wasn't as lost as she'd thought.

"So it can be filled with presents," she said, patiently. "Father Christmas brings them to us."

OOC: So, so late. I'm sorry! Exams consumed my brain.

Morgana enjoys a great many things about Drusilla. First and foremost, she never needed to say, to tell about any abilities she may, or may not possess. Drusilla, at least, at one time, just knew. There was never a question of madness, or a patronizing dismissal, much more matter of fact. Though she will not make the connection, that small thing started a rather important series of events.

It reminds her she needs to stop putting off contacting Miss Maclay.

When Drusilla takes her hands, Morgana debates leaning in to give her friendly kiss on the cheek. She doesn't, but she debates it.

"Father Christmas?" The idea sounds absolutely ludicrous to her, "Why is some strange man going to put presents in my stockings?"

From other people, that might sound like a double entendre, not Morgana.

OOC: I hope, in the end, that it was your BRAIN that consumed the EXAMS!

Tara hasn't seen Morgana in much longer than she'd like, and she's happy to answer the question by way of saying hello.

"What sort of traditions are you looking for? Personal ones, or more general onces that just mean something personally?"

The second familiar voice is greeted with slightly less enthusiasm. It is not that Morgana is not pleased to see Miss Maclay; she is ashamed at how long she has left things since her letter. In a way, leaving things this long has made Morgana feel like she is avoiding the inevitable.

"Miss Maclay, I hope you have been in good health since we last met. I was hoping for those that would be familiar to many. I am hoping to plan something but would not wish to rely on the traditions with which I was raised."

"Of course." Tara hasn't wanted to push, and she's had a lot on her mind herself. If Morgana doesn't bring it up herself, she isn't going to push.

"There's a lot of music that's traditional. I always enjoyed that. And a lot of candles. My mother used to put one in all our windows."

"That is a lovely idea. I have some lovely tapers that would decorate the dining room rather nicely."

Morgana will bring it up, but not quite yet.

"What style of music is traditional? I am afraid my knowledge on the matter is limited." Sure, she studied up on more popular music for the opening of the Mare, and took the advice of many as to what should be played, but beyond that, she has not had much of an opportunity to go through the 1500 year song catalogue of human history.
